Roared on? dont make me laugh it was practically silent apart from the goal they scored early on and in the second half I think most of the home fans had already left

birminghams support was awful, there were more empty seats there than the stadium of light and the riverside and thats saying something.

who would have thought we would have been behind arsenal by only 4 points in december?

quality :D

I gotta say that watching West Ham now is a hell of alot easier than watching us 2/3 years ago. I think that the team of then would have conceded tonight under the pressure we had. Admittedly it was never serious pressure, but back then we used to have a defence that would never deal with crosses, they would let them bounce etc etc and eventually we would concede. Its a hell of alot different now, I watch with alot more confidence that we can deal with it, so well done Pards for that (although I still see Repka as a liability)

Also, :doff: to the travelling support tonight. I thought you guys were ****ing fantastic!

Just gota point out, there support was attrocious, but there were no way near as many empty seats as the riverside gets.

Just a thought - when was the last time - if ever - you heard the words "Emile Heskey" and "Maradona" in the same sentence?

I know lots of people are having a go at Heskey for the handball, but I'm just glad the ref didn't notice that one of the reasons he hit it with his hand was Tommy picking him up and throwing him at the goal! :D

Super, Super Tom!

Thought he had a corking match today, just hope we can get him to hang on for the rest of the season.

Do I feel another resurgence of the BZAS coming on after tonight's wundergoal? I think so.....

Yep - Tommy definately had a touch of the 'red mist' about him tonight. I thought that we invited them onto us a little too much for me liking and was a reminder of Redknapps away tactics. In fairness I didn't think we played too well apart from the last 15 minutes of the first half and the first 5 of the second. I actually can't remember Noble or Mullins touching the ball in the second half and Yossi/Matty were acting as full backs. But 23 points after 14 games, would I have taken that pre-season? Abso ****ing lutley!!!

Bring on Blackburn and another sad ex Man Utd manager that Taggart wouldn't have in his backroom at Old Trafford. But we are crying out for a forward or two in the transfer window (and cover for Tommy)

All together now, Super, Super Tom....

And the funniest thing of all was the fact that the ball would have hit him in the head anyway if he hadn't raised his arm.

watching replays I don't think Tom pushed him, I also can't think of any red mist moments either just a clever hand ball… evened things out!

Well done Boyz

Post by tonka_tonka »

Great spirit tonight and 3 fantastic points, i thought we looked the more dangerous side when we attacked, but i think after first 15 mins of second half we thought it was in the bag and eased off. If we could only keep the ball a little more we could really kill teams off..but sometimes it seems like a hot potato. Still job done. and finally
