Portsmouth 1 West Ham Utd 1 (26/12/05)

Post by Joe C »

Unfortunately I am unable to attend due to family comitments, but I emplore all hammers going to take a brown paper bag stuffed with money and wave it at Redknapp.

And stick with the same team Pards, unless NRC is back, in which case he can replace Fletch

I recall wads of fake money being waved at Micky Thomas once. Can't for the life of me remember why and it's starting to bug me. Can anyone help?

At the risk of sounding like a scratched record (that's an old fashioned cd type thing for our younger viewers  )

There are no trains running on the Portsmouth line on Boxing Day

Harewood - On the right.

NRC back at all costs- same goes for Gabbidon.

Maybe stick with Harewood on the right, making it 5 across the middle, seems to work well away from home but don't play it at Upton Park like for the Barcodes that was a mistake!

I do hope we turn them over, but my gut feeling is we'll get done.
We're never any good on Boxing day. If AP can bring back 3 points it will be great. Man for man we're better than them althogh LuaLua is a good player and O'neil is handy. We should do these lot. I really dont mind if Pompey stay up either , just not at our expense.

I'd like to know the stats for our Boxing day games over the years, bet its not pretty !

Dunno our full stats, but I know that we got done 3-0 by QPR in our 80/81 promotion season, our biggest defeat all year. We did turn Charlton over 5-0 a couple of years back IIRC (or was it 4-0?).
Anyway, new regime under Pards and the past has gone. I reckon he'll have them all fired up for this one and we'll take the 3 points. IRONS!

Gotta be turning pompey over, even without Yossi, Gabbs or NRC we are still the better team.

2-1 win, bobby to get both

That could be the problem. If we lose, would it mean old 'Arry is the better manager

We'll take all three points from this fixture, and if we play anywhere near the level we did last weekend, except for the defensive lapses, we'll come away with a nice win.
