West Ham of old would win at Highbury and then struggle at Home to Sunderland

Good point and I agree but I would put Lionel in for Clive and leave Ashton on the bench for now. No way Bobby or Marlon should be dropped at the moment!

Isnt it so great to have so many options!

With Carroll back, virtually full strength squad and selection headaches for Pardew.
Id personally give Konch and Benayoun a rest, bring in Scaloni at RB, Clarke at LB and give Katan a run on right.

Things are looking ominously good....

My debut post, I reckon 2-0 to the hammers, Aston getting a full debut goal and Zamora, and also a clean sheet!

Last time they played down here I seem to remember they were celebrating winning the league, whilst we were looking nervously over our shoulders at Reading.

Reckon it'll be a lot closer than some may think.

The league game at the SOL shows that from this season, they will play a different style of play to most teams who come to Upton Park this season and will be hard to break down IMO.

That's right mate. They secured the Championship by winning that game at the end of April last season - and we needed Wolves to do us a favour the next day (by beating Reading) to keep our play off hopes alive......

I headed off to France that Saturday morning resigned to (at least) another season in the Championship - when I got to Auxerre about tea time I texted someone back home to find out what had happened that day, and in one text everything changed 8-)

Scaloni shud be playing, Carroll shud be back, Personally Im just hoping we can keep a clean sheet, not bettin on it though :D
