West Ham Utd 2 Tottenham 1 (07/05/06)

Post by Andy »

its Tottenham's cup final on Sunday everyone!

with all that has been going on this week how does everyone feel about stuffing the Spuds? To be honest I would rather now keep everyone fit for the final and put out mainly reserves for this game.

It would be great to end the season on a win but we have other things to worry about.

That scene from the original Mean Machine movie where the coach is handing out knuckle-dusters and discussing the merits of a well timed clothes line comes to mind.

1-1

And they still won't qualify.

But we will still win the following Saturday 3-2.

My son is going to be part of the Jobserve Crew to welcome the players on to the pitch - I am not sure if this is a great honour (and you get two extra tickets free!) or just incredibly naff (those blue plastic hammers...).
To put my mind at rest I have instructed him to kick Defoe as he goes past...

Spuds have injuries also, Salteri out, Keane out. Looks like Mido will start . Theres only one result on Sunday.....1 - 0 to the Cockney boys.

Keane Doubtful For Spurs
Wed 03 May, 4:09 PM

Robbie Keane is a major doubt for Tottenham's last game of the season at West Ham on Sunday.

The Republic of Ireland captain twisted an ankle in the win over Bolton last Sunday and had to be withdrawn at half-time.

Spurs boss Martin Jol told the club's official website: "Normally you would be out for two or three weeks with that injury.

"Robbie is a very good healer and he will do everything to be there on Sunday, but it is a problem and a blow."

Keane has scored 16 goals for Spurs this season and, with Egypt striker Mido still out with a knee injury, would be a huge loss following Grzegorz Rasiak's £2million transfer to Southampton.

There are more injury concerns for Jol over Paul Stalteri and Michael Carrick.

come on you Irons. let's do them and go into the final on even more of a high!!!

All I want is for our boys to come through this game unscathed.

Thats the best result for us imo.

Having said that, it would be nice to do them and sing "Champions League your having a laugh".

I am so up for this game.

Tbh, when the fixtures came out last June I was a little disappointed to see this as the final game, as often these tend to be nothing games with a bit of a happy go lucky, party atmosphere.

But now with them needing a result, and us with next week to look forward to, I can't think of a better fixture to finish off with. Well, for them to finish with anyway.

Just have this horrible image of Defoe scoring the first goal, then Harewood gets 2 and makes it 2-1 and Defoe gets an equaliser

When I first saw the fixture list I have to (shamefully) admit that I was dreading this game... my first thought was 'please don't let those c**** relegate us'.... well at least that can't happen

I would just love us to be the reason they don't get Champions League... would make me one very very happy person :D

A crumb of comfort for having to be on the bench 6 days later.

We'll win and get Arsenal 4th place, have no doubt about it. I think Clive Clarke will come on and bag the winner for us !
