Sitting in the STBL I take the DLR from Stratford to Pudding Mill Lane and walk from there. Barely any queues and the walk is no more than it would be at Upton Park.

you dont need membership, you can pay a fiver to get in if you arent a member & that includes a beer token....do it occasionally to meet some members in there....good in the summer, as it has a good roof terrace & doesn't get too busy

Re Formans - one of the oldest smokeries.

Does a lovely salmon platter with different types and bread.

The smoking room is worth a view.

Westfield bought out.
Interesting.
Am I completely wrong in thinking that Kate Hardcastle was the woman snooping around football grounds a few months back?

Just read that myself. This lept out at me...
Part way through their debut campaign at the London Stadium, manager Slaven Bilic identified a problem.

While the pitch size is a Premier League standard 105m x 68m, Bilic felt the green colour that surrounds it disorientated the players and made them feel the arena was bigger than it actually was.

Was it possible to have a different colour, he asked?

West Ham were willing to pay the £250,000 estimated cost and they suggested claret, which would at least give the space, which is needed for athletics events but an oddity in a football stadium, a homely look.

The answer from the organisation that runs the stadium, E20, came back that it was not possible. West Ham could have blue, which was in keeping with the London Olympic venue, but nothing else.

They decided to keep things as they were.

It is just one of the inherent frustrations West Ham, as tenants, have with the stadium.

Why leave it as is? Why not try the blue??

Different spin on cost of West Ham taking London Stadium, makes sense and reason to get rid of athletes

What the spurs blue that's nearly the same colour as the Ironworks blue? Can't have that then! :eh:

You’d think that whilst the colour of the matting might be disorientating, it would actually be more of a problem to away teams not used to it.

The extra revenue, the reason we allegedly moved, seems to be dropping by the week :thdn:

It says gate receipts are up 6.3%. We weren’t getting gate receipts of £100m at the Boleyn so the figure should be a lot smaller than £6.3m

The last accounts for the final season at the Boleyn showed match receipts of £27m

£27m x 6.3% = £1.7m increased match receipts

Anyone else notice the massive queue on bridge three last night?
Thought this was meant to be one of the quieter ones.
Ironically, when we walked halfway round the stadium to entrance H, there was no queue at all on bridge 1.
We were by then a couple of mins into kick off though.

Exited Stratford station at 1931 and in seat at 1947 (seat located in block 132). Can understand it taking a little longer for those in the West Stand but no more than 20-25mins.
