To clarify we have mainly fit players, some with injuries and some coming back to fitness. Hope that helps :)

1-3 we cruise to three nil up Then allow a late one but it's a comfortable win. COYI

Can't see Moyes changing the tactics too dramatically , we'll still defend to a man and try to catch Stoke on the break - no use changing what is working just because it's a ' lesser ' team , keep it tight and we'll win 0-2 .

Shawcross has been uncharacteristically wobbly. Time to release the Hun...?

Good time to play Stoke with Hughes on the rocks. Still expecting a tough game as always and I expect their fans will be up for it given the return of Arnie. I'd go for:

Adrian
Kouyate Ogbonna Cresswell
Zabaleta Noble Obiang Masuaku
Arnautovic Ayew
Hernandez

Subs: Hart, Rice, Collins, Lanzini, Antonio, Ayew & Carroll

Couple of players rested before Arsenal midweek (Antonio & Lanzini) and Kouyate to come back fit to deal with Stoke slinging long balls into the box.

Absolutely Kouyate over Collins or Rice, if he is fit.

You & me both, Paddy!

It's funny though, just a few weeks ago & I would have been happy for us to have got a point against Stoke.
Now, I'm going to be really disappointed if we don't win today.
That's no offence to Stoke, just based on our respective form, of late.

This is a match-ritual for you isn't it

Finnegan beginnagin!

Went 2 up away vs another struggling team (Palace) on Bilic's watch, then were unable to defend. Hoping the apparent discipline will take effect today COYI.

Collins in for Reid, and Hernandez for Antonio, please. They are on a terrible run, but were apparently unlucky against Burnley, and they do have Shaqiri, who is one of those players that can do something special.

1-1

Same team except Ginge in for Reid I'd expect

Would be great to get a win but most important to not lose

I honestly never know !! And in this case we have shown over the last 3 matches we can survive onslaughts but we all know stoke wont play this way so can we adapt? But even worse - where will the goals come from?

We've got goals in us and even against Arsenal we had a well worked, well taken goal that was marginal offside and Hernandez hit the bar. As long as we keep it tight at the back we're gonna do OK today.

Want it kept the same with Ginge in for Reid and Hernandez for Antonio.

We look solid at back and midfield now and I think today is the day the goals come in too with Hernandez and Arnie looking to prove points.

1-3 win

I can't see a "Weekend's Other Matches" thread so I'll post this here:

Watching Leics v Palace and Palace look really good going forward - just lack the final shot, otherwise they could be two or three up already. I'm really surprised at how well they are playing - they don't look at all like a team in the releation zone, let alone one playing away.

we really need something from today. :scarfer:

EDIT
Benteke scores!
