18/19 Tv Fixtures - and other date and venue changes

Postby sicknote on Thu Jun 14, 2018 11:02 am

The europa league competing clubs fixtures will change around those games and not be on the Saturday so you can tick them off as moved

And plenty of different broadcasters this season fiddling about with all clubs games

Good luck

Period of matches Approx date of announcement
August/September 6 July
October/November 7 August
December/January 12 October
February 12 December
March 25 January
April 22 February
May 5 April
Matchweek 38 Post-Matchweek 37

Matches will also be moved due to clubs’ respective European commitments. Supporters should note that West Ham’s home fixture against Chelsea, currently scheduled for Saturday 22 September 2018, is likely to move to Sunday due to Chelsea’s involvement in the UEFA Europa League, as they play their first group-stage fixture on the preceding Thursday.

Liverpool are in the Group Stages of the Champions League, not the qualifiers. Although they do have away games before all of their 6 group matches!

The only fixture which will be effected by other teams in Europe is Chelsea at home which will be moved to Sunday 23rd September (or Monday 24th - not sure when the League Cup rounds are) due to Chelsea having a Europa League group game on 20th September.

The only other possible one is if Man Utd fall out of the Champions League into the Europa after the group stage and get to the quarter final, our away game could change.

^^^ Elrow Town is in the north of the park the other side of the Copper Box and doesn't finish until 10:00pm so doesn't clash with everyone trying to leave at the same time.

People arriving though Wembley. The majority will still come through Stratford.

Will be packed for sure.

I know it's still under 2 months away but just wondered if any one knew when the TV fixtures would be released, due to the fact fares are cheap now.

With the TV games for August/September due to be announced in the next couple of days can anyone verify exactly which of our fixtures could be affected by clubs in Europe please?

Thanks :crest:

The TV companies will pick the fixtures as they see fit. Sure the European commitments will affect those decisions but that is only one factor. I would be fairly confident that our opener against Liverpool will be televised.

See a couple of scouse twitter accounts suggesting the first game of the season against Liverpool was being moved to Sunday 12th August at 1:30.

Ex just confirmed it's now on Sunday
