Re: league table next season
I think this summer we really wont see much incoming transfer activity because we dont have any money to spend and Curbs wants to see the injured players making appearances at last.
There will definitely be a lot of outgoing - depending of course if anybody wants the likes of Davenport and Quashie.
Thats why i think we will probably end up around the same as last season. We will hopefully see an improvement in performance from the previously injured players but unfortunately you have to take it that the likes of spurs and newcastle will be buying and improving too.

Just wait for the first wave of anti-Nani comments to come in. I give it until August.Bobby Orangeboom wrote: I don't think it's fair to blame him if we finish 16th next year, would you ???

Re: league table next season
The League table will consist of 20 teams at both the start and conclusion of the season. One team will have the most points after the requisite 38 games and will be declared the Champion. The three teams with the least points earned will be demoted to the hinterlands of lower division football.
There, I feel fairly confident in that prediction.

No problem, might be an idea to hang on for a while to see what the squad looks like before doing so though.hammer1975 wrote:Any chance of a poll to see how spread this forum is on where we will finish next season?

Not wishing to brown-nose the boss but, EXACTLY! Might just make a little sense to wait until we know what every Prem team's squad looks like before we predict where they'll all end up next season.Up the Junction wrote: No problem, might be an idea to hang on for a while to see what the squad looks like before doing so though.
Still, 10/10 for enthusiasm.

Re: league table next season (Poll)
Top 4, same as usual.Chelsea will not be in top 3 if Lampard and Essien join up with Mourinho and Drogba and one or 2 others leave.I cant see much change in top 10 except Blackburn to struggle without Hughes and prob Bentley. Spurs sadly,to take Blackburn place in top 10.
West Bromwich to have a good season and finish mid-table.
Stoke, Hull and Fulham to be relegated.
WHU to finish 9/10th.

Re: league table next season (Poll)
It's way too early for this, as others have mentioned, but what the hell? It's not as though there's a lot of other stuff going on. Total guesses here:
Top:
Arsenal
Man U
Chelsea (really hard to predict at this point)
Liverpool
Villa
Spurs
Pompey
------------
Bottom:
Sunderland
Bolton
West Brom
Fulham
Hull
Stoke
West Ham to finish mid-table, maybe 13th or 14. I'd obviously love to be wrong about that. With a healthy squad, top eight is possible, but with even a few injuries and a lack of signings, bottom half of the table seems more likely. I do hope for a good cup run--the League Cup seems a likely candidate.
But, again, it's June. So very much could happen between now and August.

Re: league table next season (Poll)
Ballack is better than Lampard anyway and with a new manager, you reckon they won't replace any outgoing players? (Admittedly, Essien would be extremely hard to replace).Rayleigh_Hammer wrote:Top 4, same as usual.Chelsea will not be in top 3 if Lampard and Essien join up with Mourinho and Drogba and one or 2 others leave.
They have already pre-signed one of the best right backs in the world.

Blimey - 60 % of kumbers think we will finish 7-10th. They can't possibly be wrong. I'm off to the bookies first thing.

Re: league table next season (Poll)
Dull, but feasible. If everyone stays fit rather than injured, then I'll be more optimistic.
