I was torn between Cole and Matty but I went Cole.

Honorable mentions for Behrami and Parker.

Are you going to have a little trophy that you can present to the player?

I find it amazing that Ethers is leading this poll when almost to a man this forum was telling Curbs to get rid of him in the summer. Even the few who defended him then were shouted down with inconsistency, poor attitude and general crapness being the chief reasons for his departure.
We are a fickle bunch aren't we?

Matty gets my vote. Has had a fantastic month. Just watch him vanish for the rest of the season now...

Can someone tell me how in gods name is Ethers leading? One ****ing goal and he is player of the month? Ilunga has been solid and reliable just like Linda was before he was sold. In fact add that Ilunga can also get up front and have a shot as well!

Winner: Parker for owning the midfield in this new formation - in August a lot of us thought we would need to bring someone in that can patrol the midfield but Parker has held his own this month (albeit against less imposing midfields).

Runner-Up: Cole played the target man as well as you could at Newcastle, but outside of his goal at Fulham his touches and runs were lame.

H.M.: Behrami, Ethers

Only three votes for Noble so far ... I find that surprising.

I've personally been delighted with the performances of Etherington and Cole over the last month. But especially Etherington, I think in this new system he's been a breath of fresh air. He attacks with pace, he's grabbed him self some goals and looks to be really enjoying his football.

Hats off Matty - I really hope you can keep it up! :raver:

Ethers for me, but it's nice that it was a tough choice. That says a lot about our early form. Cole, Parker, Noble, Ilunga were also particularly impressive.

I've been silently delighted with how he's played so far this season. Hopefully he can keep it up. Still though Matty has been superb in my eyes this month.

Etherington edged it for me on account of him being one of the only decent performers against Watford
