Re: good old days..
Sorry for being thick ... what's the story with the Dynamo T. programmes? How come 2 home games in 2 weeks, in different rounds of the ECWC?
Is my memory playing tricks?

Re: good old days..
Ignore last post. Just realised one's a home produced programme for the away leg .... sorry. In my defence the different definition of the rounds is confusing though.

The continental programme was for the away game in Georgia.Plashet Grove Pete wrote:Sorry for being thick ... what's the story with the Dynamo T. programmes? How come 2 home games in 2 weeks, in different rounds of the ECWC?

I have a Russian or whatever language it was printed in programme which I think was a reprint copy of the original.

Re: good old days..
It was Mike Oldfield, In Dulci Jubilo (or something like that). I still make sure I play it every Christmas.
Some of the programme covers over the last few pages of this thread bring back some great memories -
-Getting beat by Luton first game of the 80/81 season and then going unbeaten until we played them away.
-Getting thrashed at QPR on Boxing Day 1980.
-Arsenal smoke bomb game May 82.
-Newcastle petrol bomb return game March 81.
-Tottenham and Coventry in the League Cup 81.
-Tiblisi in the ECWC 81. Vast majority of the crowd staying until the end after a 4-1 defeat, to clap the opposition. I don't think that would happen now.
An absolute golden era, that as a teenager I don't think I really appreciated at the time.
Also some great shots on the programmes of the old ground - Chicken Run/South Bank corner, North Bank bar, West Side lower.
Also, does anyone know what the ground is on the programme cover at the top of this page? The team looks like Nottingham Forest, but if it's the City Ground the terrace looks really empty?
