Former West Ham manager Alan Curbishley is to sue the Hammers for £1m over break of contract. (Daily Express)

Although i didn't support his style of play, i thought the way Curbs was treated was very poor, however i do wonder if he has shot himself in the foot on this one, hope he got proper advice!

Everyone else is, why not him

I guess he is going for constructive dismissal as he walked out the job, difficult to see him not winning in all honesty.....

Can't see Curbishley losing. If they wrote into his contract that he had final say on all transfers they haven't got a leg to stand on.

The club seem to have made a habit of making decisions that result in court cases that they ultimately lose - Sheff U, Kia, Brown etc.

I was thinking of that when reading about the Blunts players sueing.

West Ham must be in breach of contract with me somewhere, I just need to think of a nice big figure and get a lawyer on it.

As for Curbishley I dont blame him.

If it is and it becomes an issue of a "balance of probabilities" judgement West Ham's defence will no doubt point to the impeccable integrity of the CEO and previously imprisoned fraudster Chairman as their defence......

Curbishley will also be able to produce a big article from the Sun with quotes from the board about him deciding Ljungberg's wages for any constructive dismissal case.

Our board really do beggar belief. They wouldn't recognise integrity if it punched them in the face.

The way things are going it will soon be quicker to just list the people who aren't suing us!

Didn't his son come on here a couple of months back and say that it stipulated in his contract that HE is the one who decides who stays and who goes. Therefore making the club in breach of contract x amount of times.

Good luck to him then, i think the club treated him rather badly and he's a decent bloke who deserved better than that. Let's just hope Zola doesn't have the same fate.

So, it must be an argument of constructive dismissal, if the report is correct.

I thought he might be the new QPR boss, now that Dowie has gone.

This is starting to remind me of the old Johnny Cash Song.
We are going to be known as "The club named Sue"
