will be interesting to see if Faubert's upturn in form survives the transfer shop window slamming shut.

Collison for me. Maybe he wasn't the top player as people have mentioned but he deserves it just for having the guts and bottle to just get out there and play after what he's gone through these last few weeks. The kid is a diamond.

As commendable as Jack's actions have been lately, the stand out performer for me in footballing terms has been Faubert by a mile.

 In no way has Faubert stood out. He hasn't been useless like people were expecting but he hasn't exactly shone either.HammerMan2004 wrote:As commendable as Jack's actions have been lately, the stand out performer for me in footballing terms has been Faubert by a mile.

Yeah exactly, so based on performances on the pitch, he's gone from absolute *****, to fairly decent.SenzaPaura wrote:  In no way has Faubert stood out. He hasn't been useless like people were expecting but he hasn't exactly shone either.

Us educators call the praise Faubert is getting "distance travelled"...
He may only be playing at a 7 out of 10... but he has come from about a 3 out of 10, credit where it's due.

reminds me of when i was playing sunday league and scored 52 goals in the season yet still didn't get player of the year because i was expected to score loads as i was so good!! (shame i didn't realise it at the time)
and i'm still bitter about it 15 years on!

Re: KUMB.com August Player of the Month
I don't think you could have made a finer comparison. At the end of the year he gets his plaudits, but I think he's deserves a mention because James Collins' blinder of a month is Matthew Upson's average month lately. But Matty's netted himself a goal, and did good by the club by not pulling a Lescott when he could have easily done so.hammerbenj wrote: reminds me of when i was playing sunday league and scored 52 goals in the season yet still didn't get player of the year because i was expected to score loads as i was so good!! Looks like my 'Vote for Upson' campaign never really got off the ground.
Re: KUMB.com August Player of the Month
Was Faubert really our best player in August?
Or was he simply the most improved?
I fear a few people may have gotten the two mixed up...

I he was our be Player we wouldn't have had any Points on the Board at this stage..Fionn Kiely wrote:Was Faubert really our best player in August?

I wouldn't even say he was the MOST improved, i'd say he had improved but that dont' mean a great deal..
Collison has been most improved, for sure & has become a Man i feel after the Months tragic events..
