What would happen in regards to filling next year's quota? An extra team promoted from the league below and the same for each subsequent league below that?

IIRC this close to the start of the season they won't promote teams so it will be a 23 league team. The rules for if a team goes bust during the season are that one less team is relegated and the same number promoted for their and lower divisions, so I assume the league would stick to that.

Harry Redknapp offering to help out Portsmouth reminds me of that time Shannon Matthews' family helped with the search party to find her.

Another club will go bust, and out of the league, freeing up two spaces. The PL will then relegate 3 as normal, but only one comes up. The reduction of the size of The PL to 18 clubs via the back door. Just what they always wanted.

Have to say i'm surprised BFS hasn't gone in for Dave Kitson as a back up as cheap option. He's a typical Sam kind of player.
Kanu is too old, ben haim..... er.

How does Portsmouth + ANO going bust make this any more likely/possible than it happening last season (especially as Portsmouth are now in the third division)? Would make the 2nd division play-offs a bit futile wouldn't it?

Dave Kitson gone as has Kanu (though he is still in dispute over alleged unpaid wages) so that leaves Ben Haim and Liam Lawrence to sort out before 10 August.

The fans should play. I'd love to see the bloke with the bell in goal, still singing as he's about to try and save a penalty!

doubt it. Who would invest in that club apart from a massive fan.

They'd need to get supremely lucky
