I wonder how many of you lot will try them out, tutting as you clap, but secretly enjoy it. I'll be watching in my local (with my genuine original wooden rattle) looking out for any of you closet clappers.

It's amazing how useful internet forums are.

For the many years I have been on this forum, there has been a general consensus that the atmosphere has declined.

Now that we have fans as owners it was only a matter of time they noted this and decided to sort something out.

The challenge is simple, the traditionalists need to outsing the happy clappers.

Mix the two and then you get a great atmosphere and a bit of fire in the belly.

These are actually quality. I got hold of one at Fulham away last season and they are magnificent for whacking your mates round the chops at unsupecting moments. The shock factor and resounding clap it makes as your mate is just about to take a slug of beer is outstanding. It even leaves a quality red mark. Expect a near riot of clap banner mayhem up the back of the BML lower west side at some point tonight.
