Re: Clap banner giveaway on Tuesday
I wonder how many of you lot will try them out, tutting as you clap, but secretly enjoy it. I'll be watching in my local (with my genuine original wooden rattle) looking out for any of you closet clappers.
Going to be an absolutely spiffing night!

i was wondering what your take on this might be and you did not disappoint :lol:Trap1 wrote:It's amazing how useful internet forums are.
For the many years I have been on this forum, there has been a general consensus that the atmosphere has declined.
Now that we have fans as owners it was only a matter of time they noted this and decided to sort something out.
The challenge is simple, the traditionalists need to outsing the happy clappers.
Mix the two and then you get a great atmosphere and a bit of fire in the belly.

Its a bit beyond my tastes, tbh, but don't the Daves knock out magazines featuring this kind of thing?

We'll agree to disagree, seeing as we're at loggerheads on this one.

Agreed Proph I think we've taken it as far as we can at this stage : not sure to wrap it up with a full stop or a semi colon

Think he has a perfectly valid point there. Maybe if our support was the legendry West Ham support we are supposed to have, then we wouldn't have to resort to this kind of tacky, american type of ****.

Bring back those little plastic bottles of bubbles.
They were tremendous fun last time.
Unless you are stood on the pitch in a painted shirt.....

Re: Clap banner giveaway on Tuesday [POLL]
These are actually quality. I got hold of one at Fulham away last season and they are magnificent for whacking your mates round the chops at unsupecting moments. The shock factor and resounding clap it makes as your mate is just about to take a slug of beer is outstanding. It even leaves a quality red mark. Expect a near riot of clap banner mayhem up the back of the BML lower west side at some point tonight.

All their good work undone with a single misguided gesture. If we win tonight we'll never see the back of the ****ing things.
Judging from the video of them "in action" at Brum, they appear to be for people too lazy to clap with both hands.
