1 in 8 lol

away support always a joy to hear, deafening silences at the Boleyn dispiriting, a damn good idea to get a bit of noise in the morgue

I don't really see what everybody's problem is with it?

You're getting some tat for free which you would normally have to pay for in the club shop and it makes some noise which is more than 1/2 the ground does half the time.

At least it's given people something to moan about. It keeps the 'we're ****' mob happy. :D

If they start playing music after a goal I would never go back to the Boleyn ground and I mean that.

Away games only.
I remember those little bottles of bubbles they handed out when Fila took over.
I sat in the BML then and everyone chucked them at the bloke in the corner with the new kit painted on him.
For some reason Oldun, that's the funniest post I've read on here or ages! :D

I remember those painted up blokes - a homo-erotic moment unsurpassed in our clubs history. :?

Am also in agreement that if the club ever started playing music after we score I'd stop going.

So very true and it again shows how far removed these people are away from us.

We will be the laughing stock for all the mugs from Le-Ars, Chels, Mlilwall spuds, to name but a few.

Add me to the list of those who will only go to away games if they start playing music after goals.

You see it started with polls about bringing back dancing girls at half time........which some of us opposed ........and now we can't put the toothpaste back in the tube .

The clap banners will be a one time thing - there will be a huge number of complaints from people getting hurt by missiles being thrown and that will be that .

Songs after goals - YMCA with Zola dressed as the Indian chief leading the celebrations - whats not to like .

You have only yourselves to blame for this 'development'. Pink is right - dancing girls and now these things... mark my words: 4 quarters soon following the intro of music after goals.

That said, presumably they make a big V sign when opened up so there is the option to turn around and give them a wave at the directors box at some point. No doubt we will win and they will think that Clap banners was wot won it for us.

Will the last person leaving UP please turn off the lights (unless Southern Electric have already cut us off)

Just as long as we don't do what the goons do and shout the players second name when introducing the team, nothing worse than that :thdn:

Agree about music after goals as well, you know it's coming though :|

At least we have Bubbles, still one of the best football tunes out there for the start of a game

Definatley a no vote from me. The only clubs that do such things are the clubs that supporters cannot make an atmosphere.

So thats us then or have you not been to Upton Park for the last 2 years?

So if we win tonight while have the best atmosphere at a home game in 2 years - will all the "no" voters admit they were wrong?

if I think these clappers contribute I'll be man enough to admit I'm wrong. However I think the game will contribute more plus the build up before hand - Viva Bobby Moore over the tannoy etc. :D If the team start well and look up for it the crowd will react and both can help each other. If the team look as disinterested as against Bolton I can't see these things being used much for their intended purpose and changing the atmosphere one jot.

I'll be the West Upper so I fully expect it be quiet with a few disapproving looks when I shout, sing or swear.

There would have been a good atmosphere tonight anyway - crucial game.
Not like the old days of course, but better than usual.
