Re: the New kits thread
Last season our home and away kits were announced on Friday 25th May.
So maybe it will be Friday week which is the 24th.

We’ll first see it when whoever gets back from holiday in Turkey or China first

It's disgusting. I can't believe anyone at the club signed it off.WCpete wrote:Seems a bit sacrilegious what they're doing with that Juve kit.

Re: the New kits thread
I heard the explanation for it today. Apparently Juve have had difficulty selling to the American market because the striped shirts look too much like the shirts of American sport officials. Seemed a little outlandish to me, but that was the explanation given.GaryP wrote:Seems a bit sacrilegious what they're doing with that Juve kit.

Re: the New kits thread
Having stripes for a kit must be an absolute nightmare for kit designers. You need to produce a new kit every season but it has to be different enough to sell to people who have the previous one but it still has to be stripes.
Barcelona were very clever by introducing non-striped kits into their repertoire in the 90s.

Juve already have the highest shirt sales of any 18-19 Champions League club in four of the States: https://www.soccer.com/guide/infographi ... eague-1819" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;WCpete wrote:I heard the explanation for it today. Not saying it's not the reason, but seems even more outlandish with that taken into account.
I actually quite like the shirt, especially the nod to their original pink strips. It's not a Juventus shirt, though.

Re: the New kits thread
That would do nicely. Last seasons shirt was nice but didn't have enough blue on it.griff123 wrote:Doing the rounds on twitter & facebook, that is a thing of beauty for me if true!

Think that's the business. I don't think it needs any tweaking at all, perfection, but when are G&S going to start thinking a bit bigger and get us a more corporate branding instead of two bob sponsors like Betway

Was asked to swap my England polo shirt for a Corinthians (white) shirt by a huge Brasilian unit when in Sao Paulo during the 2014 World Cup. I was happy to do so.

When we're a club worth a corporate brands time and money I imagine. More than two or three European ties a decade would help.Puff Daddy wrote:Think that's the business.
