Re: the New kits thread
They look great although I'm still a bit disappointed we didn't go with Umbro.
Umbro = Nike, in terms of ownership.. Now England will use Nike instead of Umbro. All Umbro clubs/countries have fantastic kits this year - City, Bilbao, England, Sweden, Rangers, Lille, ...Happyhammer52 wrote: Some of the retro gear that Umbro put out before was quality. Is it not meant to be going to the wall now with England leaving them?

My eldest wants a shirt for Xmas....said she can wait until the summer when the Adidas stuff comes out as I'm not paying out nearly £30 for something that will be reduced after Crimbo and then completely out of date by May.

Lovely knock up Sutts, i'd be overchuffed if our kits looked anything like what you've done. Email it to the club, you never know....

AS Roma terminate Kappa deal
Italian club AS Roma have announced on their official website that due to serious defects found in the technical material and the line of clothing produced by Basic Italia S.p.A, the company which ultimately owns Kappa.
“In consideration of the serious defects found in the technical material and the line of clothing produced by BASIC ITALIA S.p.A. for the 2012/13 season, the A.S. Roma S.p.A. board of directors has decided to cancel the contract with the technical sponsor with immediate effect due to BASIC ITALIA’s non-performance of contractual obligations. The board of directors reserve the right to pursue A.S. Roma’s best interests through the appropriate channels.”
The deal with Kappa was meant to run until 2016 however it will now end abruptly with the case also being taken to court by Kappa.
Reports are now linking US based company Warrior Sports to strike a deal with the Giallorossi with the club’s American owners looking forward to such deal and break into the North American market.

Lille switch to Nike from Umbro as from 2013/14
French club Lille have announced that Nike will become the club’s new shirt manufacturer as from the 2013/14 season.
The switch to Nike by Lille comes after 3 succesful seasons with Umbro including the memorable 2011 season where the club managed to do the double – winning the French cup and French championship.
As the club announced on its official website, the new partnership with Nike will see the club continue growing and welcomed the Nike ‘swoosh’ on its shirts.
Umbro was recently sold by Nike to Iconix Brand Group, and Umbro has also lost a couple of major shirt sponsorships in football to Nike, most notably the England national team and English champions Manchester City.

Re: the New kits thread
If we are getting Adidas. I wonder if they will insist that their kits get sold in other outlets like Sports Direct and not just the club shop??

Most outlets usually only sell the top clubs though don't they? The usual United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and a couple of Newcastles. Can't see West Ham popping up in JJB or Sports Direct somehow. Would be nice though.the wren wrote:If we are getting Adidas. I've never seen any in a HMV, then again I've never seen football shirts in HMV  I live in the South West, so I'm guessing they must have different stock for locations as I've never seen a West Ham shirt for sale in there, retro or modern. Just plenty of the top 4.
Re: the New kits thread
I live down south. They do retro 'score draw' west ham, spurs, arsenal, man utd shirts in HMV in brighton. My ex picked me up the '75 cup final shirt for christmas last year from there, was only about £15 if i remember corectly, bargain
