Re: the New kits thread
So Long, and Thanks for All the Kits (Umbro & England)
England fans said goodbye to Umbro on the national shirt on Wednesday night, the team signing off the double diamonds on the kit in style, with a 2-1 win over Brazil.
There has been much speculation about the new England shirt by Nike, but that has been covered in previous articles, what we do know now is that the first time England will wear Nike will be away match against San Marino on Friday 22nd March.
It is interesting to then think about what will be worn when England play Montenegro for their World Cup qualifier on March 26th. As Montenegro wear red home shirts it will depend on what colour away shirt Nike have given England.
If the new away kit is red, then the Montenegro game will be the first time the home shirt is worn due to the clash of colours. But if the away is another colour, perhaps blue, then the home shirt will not be debuted until the next game due to be played at Wembley Stadium, a home friendly against the Republic of Ireland on 29th May.

Re: the New kits thread
Zé Maria and his 1979 blood stained shirt
Giant version of Ze Maria's blood soaked shirt unveiled in the Pacaembu stadium
Corinthians launch a blood-stained replica shirt
Corinthians, the biggest club in São Paulo by some margin, is well known for the 'to the death' loyalty and radicalism of its fan base. Similarly the players perceived to give most for the shirt are the ones that go down as legendarily Corinthiano.
In these stakes few surpass Zé Maria who in 1979 literally bled for the club as he played through a game against Ponte Preta despite a shirt soaked with blood from a facial injury suffered during the game.
No surprise then that fans with a long memory and longstanding commitment to Corinthians were delighted to see official homage being paid to Zé Maria last week. Bizarrely for anyone without the context, a giant blood stained shirt was unfurled before the game in São Paulo last Wednesday,
And if that wasn't enough it was announced this week that an official Corinthians replica shirt will be created complete with blood stain so fans can wear their very own Camisa Sangrenta and the man who bled for the club can be eternalised or at least his image can be merchandised by the club's marketing department.

West Ham United’s New Shirt Sponsor – Alpari
From next season West Ham United will have a new shirt sponsor with Alpari, who are a leading global forex trading provider on the kit. Alapri replace SBOBET on the front of the Hammers shirt from next season. Alpari have been involved with sponsorship at the East London football club since 2011, but this new agreement will see “Alpari FX Trading” feature on West Ham United’s team kit and apparel. They already had naming rights for the Alpari Stand at Upton Park and branding at the Boleyn Ground.
Below is a mockup of what an Alpari sponsored shirt could look like, although manufacturers Macron are due to release a new club shirt and the details of the announcement tend to suggest the words “Alpari FX Trading” will be on the front of the shirt.

The deal set to last three years, is believed to be worth in the region of £3 million a season. Chief Executive Officer of Alpari (UK) Limited, Daniel Skowronski said of the new deal:
“Alpari is a leading global forex trading provider with significant growth ambitions. The Barclays Premier League is a truly global phenomenon with broadcast distribution now reaching in excess of 700 million households per season. Taking our partnership with West Ham United one stage further to Principal Sponsor was a logical step as we continue to build awareness for our products on the world stage.”

I wonder how real it is. Can certainly see them doing something like this and the design is not a million miles away from the Brazil kit from the other night. Just with added side stripes.

Wow... Different! I really like all white and actually don't mind the gold (would make a lovely WHU change kit IMO). Not keen on the sides though!SirStoneyOfBow wrote:Apparently, this is Nike's England kit. Personally, I hate it. Gold?
