I just know that if I had to play in that kit the string would keep hitting me in the face as I was running, the only alternative would be to tie a gay looking bow.....so, be blinded by the string or look like a bender ??? tough call ! :eh:

For those of us of an age, yes DC I include you in this, we were brought up on white shorts, white socks. In fact since 1957, 54 seasons we have only had non-white socks in 8 seasons. Seems a bit like sacrilege to me.

I always think we look a bit 'clumsy' wearing claret socks

I am almost fanatical about tradition. I have posted many times in Cockney Hammer's "Good Old Days" thread, but for FFS moaning about socks???

Me being a child of the 70s, I still need emotional support for what the lads first wore in Brussels, but I got we to it. Growing up, I started looking forward to the new kit. We had some monstrosities....the Bukta clown suit and Scoreline, but in general we kept to claret and blue for home and either white or a shade of blue for away.

I can't think of one other club has been such a slave to tradition.

It may sound weird, but my favourite kit had no blue sleeves, and that was the 85 to 87 one.

Life would be dull if every year we had a claret shirt with blue sleeves, and a light blue shirt with two hoops.

It's the little things that count.

I like dull, I also crave for Premiership mid-table mediocrity

'Forever United' is clearly the preferred marketing slogan for our move to the OS. The message is that although we might be moving, we'll be the same club. Mmmm...

As for the 'Moore Than' stuff, the Club have copyrighted the phrase. I'm very surprised they've been able to - it's the name of a person, his estate have an interest and it was Pardew who really coined it anyway. Like others, I'm fed up with it all and think it became disrespectful a while back.

That's quite decent. I would take the white and the claret versions for us.
