Wasn't the deal when we sold him a upfront fee, plus add over over time, and it is those add on they have failed to pay
I dunno how Uefa or Fifa haven't step in you can almost bet that if it was the other way around we would have had the book thrown at us

I cant believe the handwringing over a bloke who had no heart, and couldnt force himself into the side in his supposed preffered position.
He was so ill suited to the Premiership it was untrue.
He did score a few penalties though, f'sure.

And a player who got preferential treatment by his manager despite complaints from other players.
No wonder he wanted to take off when Zola was sacked

But can everyone remember that time when he showed all that passion and ripped his shirt?! I'm sure I see a Bobby tat on his chest
I'd have personally made him pay for a new kit

Criminal energy or what ? Not just taking a player from another team and playing him without paying but then selling this player on ? I would hire Sheffield United's legal team and argue we would never have been relegated with Diamanti in the side as he alone would have scored 10 penalties and 5 goals from freekicks, at the very least.
Hence Brescia is ultimately responsible for us losing around 40-50 million pounds. But I'll doubt we'll get anything from any court.

Not if they watched him play, no we wouldn't.

I never doubted his ability and thought an intelligent management structure, which was totally lacking during his time with us, could have harnessed his ability and turned him into an iconic player for us. Those who say he couldn't have made it in the PL miss the point entirely, probably would have said the same about Balotelli and Di Canio and would have preferred us to have signed players like Milner and Henderson And therein lies the problem at so many levels

Good game? He was quite sh*t for the most part, barring a bit of good movement and a nice bit of link up play. But, against him, it was when the Germans were pushing and, slightly in his defence, others were struggling with the pitch, too. But, yeah, wouldn't exactly call it a good game.

I know at least two Italians who just start shouting abuse at the player and the coach for picking him every time he comes on. He's not what you might call universally popular with the natives, or an uncontroversial selection.

Makes football that bit more fun, though. Imagine if it just consisted of Hayden Mullins and Edwin Van Der Sar?! Hand me my revolver, matron; I'm going for a stroll in the woods...

Diamanti came on at about 55 minutes, with Germany really starting to push to get back into it. During that time he made a few excellent passes, had a few of them intercepted and gave the ball away 2, maybe 3 times. But more notably he should have had 3 assists, and through no fault of his own he didn't. Di Natale really fluffed his lines, Marchisio messed up from 12 yards after a great first time pass, and Balzerigli should perhaps have looked along the line to stay onside. He also was unlucky to slip after turning Lahm inside out! Good performance - with a bit of luck he would have stole the show in the second half. Thanks to Balotelli the work was already done. Two fantastic finishes. Apologies for any mis-spelt Italian names, I have no intention of looking them up to check

Well, court cases and West Ham...I don't know why, but I feel we might end up having to pay Brescia 20 million after this, why this could be I have no idea, but it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest...

He had a good game in my opinion. Again. Agree with wizzo_66 on his analysis. Although he made more missplaced passes and lost more balls than wizzo_66 realised. It is caused by the fact, that he is not looking for back passes and simple options. He is always trying to play forward and to prepare goal chances for himself or his team mates. Diamanti is creative player and is able to make the difference. Hi is not Pirlo, who is diffrent class though.

Splitting hairs, probably.
He really created three goal chances. Which considering time he spent on the field and quality of the opposition is some achievement imo. You can hardly ask for more from the substitute. But I admit, that German defence was not at their best yesterday and were already playing too high and too far from each other.
