To be honest I don't think he's cut out for English football, just because of the way he plays.

I doubt he'll get a number even if he stays. He'll be sold, loaned or stuck in the reserves until a major injury crisis, I expect.

It'd be my favourite number if I earned that many thousands of pounds in a week.

Far too early for this, since there are likely to be more ins and outs, but any thoughts on squad numbers?

Will Jaaskelainen wear #1 or will he stick with the #22 he wore at Bolton (vacated by Lansbury). I know their is talk of bringing in another keeper, but if we don't, I'd hate to have no actual #1 worn if Jussi wears #22.

Diame wore #21 at Wigan and this is available after Diop's release.

The other questions at this stage would be whether any existing players move about. Should the likes of Potts and Hall be 'promoted' from their 40's numbers into the mid 20's slots freed up by getting shot of guys like Nouble and Kurucz?

I also feel they should tinker with the 1-11. I know it means little these days (and with #6 out of the equation, it would never be 1-11 anyway). If Reid is a CB, should #2 be given to a proper RB? Last year we had CF wearing #7, #8, #9 and #11. With Carew gone and Baldock possibly out on loan, should #7 and #11 be given to wide players? Or should Vaz Te be pushed into a 1-11 number?

I'd love to see Noble wearing 7.

Collison having 10 seems strange to me, but they are just numbers I suppose.

I've always loved 11.

I always thought number 11 was for the left winger?

10 is normally for the creative forward who plays off a big striker (number 9).

I agree, just saying I've always liked it lol. Rooney is the type of player who would traditionally wear 10 imo.

As for Collison, the number 8 or 7 would be the traditional number for his position, depending whether he is on the right or in the middle going forward.
