Got to be Tomkins or Winston for me. Both have had a cracking start to the season, but i am going to go for Winston this time. I think the pair of them could be mainstays for a long time.

We failed to take both games by the scruff of the neck and it ended up costing us. We need to be more ruthless. See Man City/Man Utd in the Premiership...

We are the Man Utd of the Championship and need to start showing it. When dominating games they dont just win by the one goal, they go full out for 90 minutes and show no mercy

I suppose it's the winning mentality they have in their squad. They can win ugly but most of all when they deserve to win a football match they do. We'll need to do both if we are going to win this league. I'm afraid that we will dominate too many games this season without coming out on top. Hope I'm wrong

So it's Nolan's fault he didnt win us the 2 games and also his fault we let in 2 late goals? I dont disagree with most of what your saying there. I dont know what it has to do with Nolan and this thread though.

No matter what Nolan has done off the pitch I'm just personally disappointed with his on pitch performances.

Rory Delap is a better player off the pitch than Nolan. Fact 8-)

You must not have watched alot of Nolan for other clubs then. He is often pedestrian for most of the games. Also, players of his size need a few more games to get sharp, he doesnt seem to bothered about keeping fit during the summer either.

Another one of those laughing things for the Delap joke.

He just seems to get away with murder. I'm a good man motivator and can get in a good position every now again again. I might apply for a 40k a week job at the club

I did however forget to mention that I'm a bit overweight and can't run. O wait......

I'd like to believe that but I fear Wenger or Redknapp might have different ideas about that at least as far as young Mr. Tomkins is concerned. At least he's not French or the Myopic Merde would probably have snapped him up already.

O'Brien for me. Simply because I kind of expected Tompkins and Reid to step up, and they have - really well. However, I thought our problem position may have been RB, considering we were all, rightly so, busy worrying about LB. Nevertheless, Joey has gone about his business in a collected and assured manner. Let's hope he can keep it up - not sure where he stands now that we have Demmel though... probably in the dugout.

Tomkins for me with Reid close behind & O'Brien mentioned in dispatches.

Three defenders! What a difference from last year.

No more jellyfish at the heart of the defence. Well done the two centre-backs.

Another vote for Tomkins here - looks like a landslide victory. Honourable mentions to Winston Reid and Joey O.
Central Defence is looking solid at the moment.

Onwards and upwards, Pompey next.

I suspect that if Tomkins keeps up this rich vein of form we could unfortunately find more then just :arry: and Wenger sniffing around come the poxy January window..........

It would be slightly ironic if Reid turned out to be the most useful signing from the Grant era.

Just looking at the list above, there's very few of them even left - Piq, Boffin and (technically) Barrera are the only other survivors, and I don't know that any of them look to have particularly bright futures at the club.
