Dead right , i made the same point earlier in the thread . Faye will miss plenty of games through injury , so play him while he's fit..CockSparrer wrote:Bearing in mind that all three will get games, I'm inclined to pick Faye while he's fit. I agree that Tomkins has come along well, but I think we'll still get the best out of him playing alongside a more experienced man. And I also agree with those that say a season may be all that's between Reid and Tomkins at the moment. So I say play Faye/Tomkins now, knowing that Reid will get his fair share of games along the way.

What a Faye permormance last Saturday. If he keeps that level we want him every game at the starting 11!

Re: Two out of the three [POLL]
Voted for the tomkins and faye option but I suspect that the correct answer is "perm any two from these three depending on the strike force they will be opposing."
Re: Two out of the three [POLL]
Faye was a Beast Saturday dont think he lost out in 1 header or tackle like to see him and Tonks
Re: Two out of the three [POLL]
Tomkins should be first choice.
Depending on opposition, Faye or Reid should join him, Faye is much bigger and stronger than Reid and should start in games against teams that are ood in the air.
Silky passing teams ala Soton or Brighton play Reid.

Faye's probably most famous outstanding performance was versus Arsenal..

Its good to see these kind of polls at this time of year...polls when none of the answers are too terrible.
Reid and Tomkins for me.

Tomkins and Faye this season.
If we get to premier league land next season I think we will sign a new CB, I dont imagine Sam using Reid and Tomkins in the Prem as a first choice pairing and obviously Faye will be 34. Our 2 best CB's right now are Tomkins and Faye imo, not bothered about starting a partnership between Tomkins and Reid that will likely be broken up as quickly and Anton and Ward.

Reid and Tomkins for the future definately, whilst in this league though a lot depends on what team we're playing and more importantly who they've got up front and because this league is quite a physical one I chose Faye and Tomkins.

Re: Two out of the three [POLL]
tbf was there really a lot wrong with what Reid and Faye have done in the last 2 games....? the majority obviously favour Tomkins as it is, but im not going to write off Reid. He just had a bad start last season, at this point in both Tomkins and Reid's careers it could go either way.
Saying that though my preferred pick was Faye and Tomkins... but only just, we'll see.

Re: Two out of the three [POLL]
I said last season when it was obvious we were going down that Tomkins and Reid would be a great partnership in the championship and a chance to get a young pairing for the future,
Sam buying Faye was a great bit of business. He has been outstanding in both games so far and the times he has come on as sub, If Sam wants to start him that is fine with me , but I believe the future is Tomkins and Reid, but we really do have the best back-up available,
Having seen Faye so far I think we could keep a clean sheet if he was partnered with the tealady or even Upson.

Can we have Faye/Tealady added as an option to the poll? I suddenly want to change my voteHockley Hammer wrote: Having seen Faye so far I think we could keep a clean sheet if he was partnered with the tealady or even Upson.

Tomkins & Reid.
And use Faye in those tough games were we need to be secure at the back.

Re: Two out of the three [POLL]
I make that right, but, if Faye's got a season or so left in his legs, its probably good for Tomkins and Reid to get a season against inferior forwards under their collective belt first...stubbsy07 wrote:Reid has been good - but as players Tomkins and Faye are a class above him in my opinion.

Re: 2 out of the 3
This basically. Reid looks alot more comfortable this season which is very pleasing.Matt of iron wrote:Faye and Tomkins.
I really like Reid but I think Faye has everything Reid does with a bit more composure on the ball.

Winston...never was as bad as most made him out to be last season, but not as good as most are making him out to be this. Tomka & Faye.

Tomkins and Faye first choice
Both have picked up injuries already though, so Reid will get plenty of opportunities.

Reid and Tommo for me. They started the season and haven't done anything wrong so they should keep their places.
The bigger question is which 4/5 midfielders?
