I think that was all meant to be a Twatter joke / hoax

Oh right I see mate. I still feel that if QPR want him they'll get him as they will probably offer him silly money.

Sam Baldock is playing in our development squad tonight against Northampton Town. Which means he hasn't gone to Portugal and must be close to leaving.

About Yossi- We've lacked creativity for some time. Our best years IMO were when we had a creative unpredictable player who could change a game. Yossi was one of those players along with Paolo, Berkovic, Devo, Trevor etc. He did go missing at times but so did the others mentioned. I also didn't like the way he agreed to sign a new contract and then changed his mind. I'm sure the holiday debacle in the Mideast (Dubai?) where he was banned from traveling with the rest of the team because of being Jewish, did not put us in a good light. We should have gone elsewhere...

You can always count on Martin O'Neill.

A f*cking blithering idiot of a man.

Is that penii Niall Quinn still sanctioning the transfers up there?

I think Niall Quinn left Sunderland during the last season.

O'Neill is like Curbishley in the transfer market, very little knowledge of the market outside of the UK

O'Neill then proceeded to slap in a £10m bid in for him...

Yeah, you can count on him to sign a 25 year old striker who has 22 goals in 41 starts for a poor team in the Prem. He also scored more headed goals than any other player in the prem in the last 2 years. Very good player and probably market value.

Fletcher is quality, bottom line is he scores goals, plenty of them. He will outscore Carlton, (and any of our other strikers) this coming season without doubt, and how much would people on here say Cole is worth?

For the record, if we bought Fletcher for £12 mil i'd be delighted.

Fletcher's ok, but O'Neill always buys at the top of the market.

Fletcher possibly would outscore all of our strikers, but then if Sunderland pay £10m, then he's got more than all 5 of our strikers combined....so I suppose you'd kind of expect a few more goals then wouldn't you?

Although, I suppose no-one wants to me miss an opportunity to slag off our own team, even when discussing a completely different team's foray into the transfer market do they?

Fletcher's a big meh. Hard worker, good heading. 12 mill? That's taking the piss.

I'd be very comfortable with the thought of Collins, Tomkins or Reid playing against Fletcher.

I wouldn't fancy them against Carlton.

Fletcher's ok. £12 million for ok ?

That's the market, I s'pose.

I agree, O'Neill is a complete plum.

Fact still remains that Fletcher is worth £12m because he guarantees double figures, and that's in a dogshit team like wolves.

Back on topic, it's a hell no to Saha from me and I'd have Yossi back in a heartbeat as well.

You may be right, but then Cole would miss his chances and Fletcher would put them away.

Fletcher at 12 mill is insane. A good hard working striker, but thats a massive amount of money, he aint that good!
I expect Wolves to come straight back up, they are working hard to keep their best players which is good to see in my opinion. If you sell them, make sure you are getting top dollar from a desperate club.

We are a newly promoted club. Personally, Cole & Saha fighting it out for the one spot doesn't sound half bad to me...

He'll get 11 goals next season.
Then the year after, he'll get 9
Then the next year, he'll play 13 games, scoring 4 goals
Then he'll go on loan to Leicester

Then Martin O'Neill will replace him with £16m Peter Crouch.
