Henderson taking a year to play cup games and learn from Jussi would be great for his development I reckon.

a very experienced goalkeeper, can teach Henderson. Big Sam knows and trust him
He was injured alot last season and Bogdán proved his worth for Bolton during that time so they stuck with him

It is more off a side wards step from Green, not backwards, but not forward

Thought this would be the case, not complaining, we will need the experience next season I suppose and if Henderson can really raise his game and be the number 1 next season.

We'll only need one or two good final seasons from him anyway. If he's doing well, I wouldn't mind keeping the guy on as a goalkeeping coach - very experienced keeper, I'd even go as far as to predict he will be on a par performance wise with Green.

Not certain what the excitement is all about? seriously hope that Henderson is first choice and then it is up to Jussi to sit on the bench, which will be handy to have.

That is what I would like the case to be, but if it's not then I wouldn't mind him for a year and then Henderson taking over the season after which appears to be the case.

I know he's getting on a bit now (got on a bit?) but Jussi was always one of them keepers I used to watch and think 'I wish we had him'...

It may be a bit late but let's hope he can still do the business

Big Sam: Jaaskelainen. Nolan. Vaz Te. O’Brien. Taylor. What does that say to you about my proclivity for signing Bolton has-beens?

Sullivan: There’s too many of them?

Big Sam: That’s one way of looking at it. Another way of looking at it is, people like them, let’s sign some more of them.

We won't be Bolton until Kevin Davies is in a West Ham shirt and scoring an own goal every game.
