Is Henderson good then?

Jussi's always been one of the top 5 prem keepers when given the chance. Eventhough he might he a bit off his past, i'm sure he'll make a great cover henderson or even as a first choice goalie. Tervetuloa, kamoon Jussi!!!

So it turns out Jussi is past it and utter gash. We need to either start Henderson or get a new GK in by Friday. I have no confidence at all with Jussi between the posts. Maybe we can Green back if QPR go ahead with a new keeper signing. Feck off Jussi you has-been cooont.

O Robert Green what have we done,
to you that shone in the Upton Park sun.

Replaced by a turd that is oh so gash,
why are our chairmen so rash with the cash?

For years you saved us and returned us to the Prem
you our keeper, the finest of men.

This was an accident waiting to happen and little confidence was seen in him by a minority on here over the recent weeks. He couldn't get the first choice keeper's position in a Bolton side which was relegated and whilst undoubtedly a top glass PL keeper four or so years ago, his best days are clearly behind him. He was an ideal signing as back-up but no more.

I cannot understand the rationale behind Allardyce signing Henderson and then not giving him the chance and confidence by handing him the position and the opportunity to make it his own. Allardyce has tried to cover a key position on the cheap and his gamble has failed. Annoyingly, if Allardyce decides on a change then this means more disruption to the back four when a more astute manager would have had this nailed down before the season started.

By comparison, Vorm again impressed yesterday, agile, commanding and a terrific shot stopper.

So he's made one mistake and looked absolutely gutted that he had done so.What about the keystone cops marking that let the scorer run through unmarked in the first place?

Blimey the hospitals are going to be full today with all these jerking knees.

What a great fanbase we have. Waiting for our keeper to make a mistake so that they can dig him out.

Where were you last week when we kept a clean sheet?

I hope yesterday was a one off but he looked slow, unsure and ended up on his knees for almost every ball that came in.

Was never convinced by this move and I pray he proves me wrong.

I don't think villa really tested him last week though bar one long range effort. Still think he will be an asset this season and he just made a mistake yesterday, something the whole side were guilty of doing throughout

Watching a team that played against a pile of poo...who didn't put a shot of worth on target.

Sadly all the teams we play this season wont be as considerate...

We could pick up Robinson for less than a mill Headbanger

It was funny old weekend for keepers - quite a few blunders - let's wait till he actually has to make some saves?

I think it's unbelievable that we are putting our Premiership status on the line with a free transfer keeper who couldn't get in a relegated Bolton side, yet we have been trying to sign Carroll on loan at 90k? a week. It makes no sense to me.

The management severely undervalued Green's importance at the club. I think sentimentality clouded his judgement on this fella being good enough to be "No.1" for a whole season. Still, the bed's been made, got to lie in it eh.

How the hell are we going to get Green back on loan?? QPR want two top class keepers to battle for the number one position & they will have get that if Ceaser signs for them. Also Fernandes does not like our owners one bit so expect no favours.

The only decent keeper we can get & is available for loan is Stockdale of Fulham.

Get him in Sam and let him and Henderson battle for the number 1 role.

Spot on....when i hear these pundits going on about "West Ham will stay up because of Sam" i do wonder if they have looked at out full backs and keeper.

Between the 3 of them you couldn't get 2 mill on the market place !!!

It does smack of a manager whose judgement is questionable, especially when said potential loanee clearly has no desire to play for our club and yet we continue to expend time and effort in his capture. Allardyce has tried to put a sticking plaster over the goalkeepers position and has somewhat predictably been found wanting in return.

First goal was bad play from GMcC...he let Rangel free(Jarvis:s man too,but they switch in own end) and shoot from a close range wich was a very difficult for Jussi(on a good day,yes,safe)...what about ManU: Gea...bad mistake too yesterday...and Gea made that regularly last year with Vidic...How many goals were Greens mistakes over past 5 years(still my Enlands NO1)?Second goal again not Jussi´s fault or the 3:rd...he´s still not my first choice if we had money for better one...i dont rate GMcC at all..how many times he shoot the ball over the sideline by bad foot...my dead granny can do the same.Thats why i think Tomkins/Noble was helping him becouse hes s++t.Nolan not a winger too and Cole is so abvious that he gives freekicks too many times..easy for defenders to go down and ref can do nothin but gives the freekicks...and yes my enlish is not correct but are our starting 11...

Was Green's departure a surprise to anyone ?

So this is a position that BFS has planned for...and he thinks this fella was under-rated at Bolton.

I haven't met one fan yet who is happy with his decision.

Are we all wrong ?

One thing i do know....BFS wont admit he was.
