how about if the ball hits the post, comes out, hits the prone 'keeper and goes in?

If it's England taking the spot kick the question is null and void as the keeper can't get a touch on the ball unless he is sitting on the roof of the stand behind the goal :wink:

This happened in the 1986 world cup, France v Brazil, the goal was given and afterwards the Laws were "tightened" to get rid of any ambiguity and make sure the referee wasnt embarrassed.
