Discussions about our Danny have been had before and I think he is often harshly treated by fans. He has found himself typecast to a degree and is obviously not the worlds greatest actor but he makes the most of what talent he has. He obviously loves West Ham and seems a decent bloke according to those who know or have met him. For what its worth I saw him in a West End play as Sid Vicious' ghost visiting Kurt Cobain before his death and he was great. He was particularly good at the humour that was in the part and I reckon he should try his hand more often at comedy.

As much as people take the mick out of him for acting "plastic", he's made a hell of a lot of money out of it and knows his role well, also never seen a bad word said against him from anyone whose met him. Made a decent amount with very limited talent in my view, fair play to the fella.

He came to a night I used to run years ago, this was post Human Traffic but pre Football Factory so he was quite well known but nowhere near as famous as he is now. We chatted for a bit and he gave me his email address for our mailing list. He seemed like a decent enough chap.
I don't blame him at all for acting up to the typecast, he obviously does quite well out of it. I doubt he really believe himself to be a hardman, it is just an act and one I am sure he will keep up for as long as it pays the bills.
