Of course he supports a team, it's just a different way of saying " I support T*ttingham and want to see how much West Ham hate us so i can tell my Mates " ..

Lets face it football is not the best game in the world to watch; its 11 blokes kicking a ball around, it is however the best sport in the world to follow and that is mainly due to the fans and the dogmatic way that clubs are supported.

I think you know nothing about football and are not worthy of an answer re rivalries.

Good bye

I'm sort of inclined to disagree with you to some extent, the most enjoyment I've ever had watching football was the 2008 Euros - a whole bunch of exciting games, teams playing great football, yet no England involved to support.

likewise, I really enjoyed the Prem last year, possibly the best Prem season ever, with some amazing, unforgettable games, a brilliiant climax, and no getting West Ham-based depression to get in the way.

But yeah, there isn't anything like being able to get passionately behind your team and feeling that raw intensity.

I guess it's the football experience on two different levels.

I don't know if they count as rivalries but i don't think southampton and reading are going to get the friendliest welcomes this season after the red card incidents of last year.

I thought we used to be fairly well liked by most neutrals, but these days it seems like every team wants a rivalry with us. Blackpool are probably going to hold their grudge about our 'massive players and bullying in the final' for a while.

For me.
1. Millwall
2. Man Ure
3. Spurs, Chelsea and the Arse.

Clubs I consider to be our main rivals (in order)

Millwall, Spuds, Chelsea, Sheff U.

Teams I genuinely despise for one reason or another:-

Millwall, Spuds, Chelsea, Sheff U, Liverpool, Reading, Southampton, Wigan.

This question always puzzles me because it seems so obvious. I guess it's personal experiences etc that make it different for everyone else.

Millwall
Tottenham
Chelsea

In that order.

Luton Town. So pleasing to see them currently festering in non league football, exactly where they deserve to be after humiliating us 5-0 over the 2 legged Littlewood's Cup semi final in 1989. I still can't rub out the pain of standing on the north bank watching us lose 0-3 @ home in the 1st leg to a team containing Mick Harford and Roy Wegerle.

And if that wasn't a good enough reason to despise them, then losing the 1994 FA Cup 6th round replay p*ssed me right off as well. We should have played Chelsea in the semi's, and Man Utd in the final.

There is a search field at the top of the screen. If anyone is really interested in this topic, they can type in 'rivalry' and see the 100s of times that this thread has already been posted rather than ask the bleedin' obvious once again. It's called research; the intenet generation may not understand.

I support AFC Wimbledon if you must know but was worried that may influence the thread. I didn't want the focus to be on who I support as opposed to the actual topic of the thread

As posted above this question has been asked numerous times.

Understand you are new. It happens a lot that even some of our most experienced posters who unlike you should know better can't be a**ed to search.
