Father and sons players

Postby bonzosbeard on Sat Jan 12, 2013 7:15 pm

Talking to a man utd fan earlier and discussing young Potts I started thinking about dad/son footballing combos here at West Ham.

I can think of Lampard, Moncur and Potts off hand. Was there more? Do other clubs have much of this?

Seeing as it's transfer window time: Eiður Guðjohnsen.

Wikipedia wrote:
On 24 April 1996 history was made in Tallinn, Estonia, where a 17 year old Guðjohnsen replaced his 34 year old father, Arnór Guðjohnsen as a second half substitute against Estonia. The match was then won by the travelling Iceland team 3–0. The record achieved by the pair still stands today.

*edit* Sorry Puff. Did not see that :fsake:

Not father & son but wasn't Ian Harte related to Gary Kelly?

For some reason I've a feeling it's an uncle/nephew relationship.

Wasn't Teddy Sherringham's son playing while he was?
