May not have been the first player to be approached with a new deal, just the second (JOB) to agree. We all know Demel is commited to West Ham having retired from International Football for us. Loyal guy and a great player too. Definitely got another two years in him, as others have said, hope he stays injury free.

The last few games he has really stepped it up a notch, even tried a couple of tricks to get past his man when he's been attacking up the wing. He's also been right up there for HOTM in recent matches as well.

Hope he can manage an extended run in the side without any injuries to keep this momentum going.

West Ham United are delighted to confirm that defender Guy Demel has signed a new contract with the club until the summer of 2015.

The full-back is looking to celebrate facing old club Arsenal with his first goal for the Hammers in tonight's Barclays Premier League meeting in north London.

Had some initial concerns about him with his injury problems, but he's come on well with a run of games and looks the player we signed him for. Happy the club have secured him with the deal; now to see him kick on and continue with consistent, solid performances.
