Diarra might want to take a leaf out of Demel's book!

Right attitude earning his place in the side! may not be the best fullback in the league but is solid and does his job well

Ilunga was spotted by scouts for the Orlando Magic and is currently improving his handball skills in Florida

Great news (as long as there is no stupid clause in it!).

I posted the other day about Diame's importance to the team (showing the W D L record with and without him in the team, league only). It is the same with Guy:

With him:
16 games played, 6 won (37.5%), 5 drawn (31.3%), 5 lost (31.3%).

Without him:
6 games played, 1 won (16.7%), 1 drawn (16.7%), 4 lost (66.7%).

In the modern world of football where loyalty doesn't happen often. There is no doubt that Demel is fully committed to West Ham United.

Aside from your casual racism, Ba and Piquionne were both born and raised in France, Obinna in Italy, and there's probably others that I can't be bothered to look up.

Steady player, I like him. Safe and reliable and a couple of really good games recently.

2year contract for a player who is 31 and has had a career blighted by injury ..... questionable bit of business by the club (again).

Political correctness gone mad. There was nothing racist in my comment at all, just my opinions of previous African OR African born players that have played for us.

Yeah, we should stick to good solid English grafters like Dyer, Upson and Bridge!

By the way, why the flying f*ck should an African put the success of West Ham FC over his own career and possible earnings? I assume that if you were playing for Orlando Pirates in South Africa and they were 17th in the league, and Kaizer Chiefs came in for you and they were 5th in the league and offered you an extra £25k a week you would stay true to that club?

Again I was merely pointing out our recent record with players that were born in or play for an African nation. Christ.

A generalisation of any race is racist...

Two year deal of an old injury prone player? I don't get it oh well as long as they give BFS some cash in the summer for a new younger first choice right back in the summer I can live him him as back up.

Again I was not saying all players of that background our useless and greedy, just the players we seem to sign have not exactly been Billy bonds or Trevor Brooking types (awaits the next wave of 'That's racist/narrow minded' comments)

But by choosing to omit any other nationalities from your list you were generalising Africans. What about Scott Parker, who did the same as Ba, except didn't even have a clause to get out, or Matt Upson, who quite frankly just didn't care, or Jermain Defoe who handed in a transfer request as soon as we got relegated?

But why even generalise. West Ham have a very long history of buying sh1t players....be they African, Welsh, Jewish or Viking. By specifically grouping the African failures together you are suggesting (inadvertantly or not) that the fault lies with their race rather than their individual ability. Which isn't true.

Also, if we were to crate a list of players earning a shedload of cash whilst not really giving their all for West Ham Utd, the players you mention don't even scratch the surface.

TBF, in my experience, Africans are notoriously a pain in the arse to work with or try and do business with.
