If he was my son I would have spent all of today trying to get him adopted.

What a huge big jessie.

It's complete instinct for every male of any age to whack at the ball when someone lies on top of it. In fact I think it's written into mens law. Section 5a I believe.

Just as girls can't throw......boys/men will smack the ball from under someone lying/sitting on it. It's nature. Nothing anyone can do.

...

Wrestled with a 12 year old and then kicked him when he was on the floor.

Nice to see Hazard's fitting in well at Chelsea, he seems to have mastered being a bellend.

He is 17.

Nearly old enough to fight and die for his country.

No army would want the little brat. Much ado about nothing as the video above clearly shows. Worlds gawn mad.

I say Hazard should have kicked him harder….. what a little sh*t. Thinks he is Billy Big Bollox because his Dad is loaded….. He deserved what he got!

I would be embarrassed if he was my Son.

Ball "boy" (who was nearly the same age as Hazard) apparently tweeted before the match that he was coming out of retirement for the match, and that he was the king of all time wasters. Hazard still needs to step back and let the ref do his job, but the whole episode has gone mad. Let it go world.

In light of this new (to me) videographic evidence I concede that in this particular instance I was wrong.

I also believe that Hazard should have his red-card rescinded.

Much more posts in this thread than the entire Dan Potts thread since his ****ing debut.

Says a lot about people's mentality.

Unless I'm mistaken it is the Referees job to manage time during a game, so whether the ballboy was being an arse or not Hazards behaviour was uncalled for and bang out of order and I can see no difference between what he did and common assault.

Doesn't there have to be some kind of malicious thought behind assault?

Seems to me that he kicked forward to get the ball out from under the lad...

...and is then trying to step over him when he rolled backwards.

Either way, if the lad doesn't want to involve OB, isn't that the end of it?

I'm no Chelsea apologist - but its good enough for me that they were eliminated from the cup.

Meh, all the reports I saw listed his age as 12.

Hazard's still an idiot.

Can be committed 'recklessly'.

This wouldn't stand up in court. Mind you, nor would Ashley Cole.
