He'd apparently intended to perform some act of timewasting according to his Twitter feed, and it's not as though Hazard put his studded boot through his back as I'm sure he'd have been tempted to do. A little dig to the ribs - well, that's still not on in the strictest sense but I'm prepared to buy Hazard's claim in this instance that he was trying to toe the ball out from under the muppet. It's what you would do, isn't it? And if the kid's stupidity has given Hazard the opportunity to disguise a poke in the ribs as an attempt to toe the ball out, well, he's only himself to blame. World of difference between a little laddie who's got school in the morning acting incredibly naively, and an old-enough-to-drive Welsh Bumwit football club director's son acting the mingehole for the benefit of his gormless Inbetweener mates.

Love it.

Some fans at the match say that all the Swansea ball boys were time wasting throughout the game. In the light of that it's hardly surprising that Hazard followed the ball to retrieve it and then tried to kick it out from underneath the little turd.
If Hazard gets done by the FA then Swansea should be punished too for their cheating ball boys. The little attention seeker has not done the image of that club any good at all considering his connections.

If that is true, then unless all the ballboys individually thought of it by themselves it can only have come from the club itself, in which case there has to be a charge of Bringing the Game into Disrepute to answer.

I wish Jasskelainen would lay on the ball from time to time rather than watch it as it sails past.

This would open a can of worms - All Ball boys do it.

I listened to an interview with Craig Burley earlier and he said when he was a trainee they used to have to do ball boy duties, and he said back then they were always asked to waste time if they were winning and under the kosh.

Yep, all teams are it with the ball boys me thinks. I know Ipswich do it or at least done it, my colleagues boy was a ball boy there for 3 seasons, they were told if they were winning with 15 minutes to go to take their time to get the ball.

Unfortunately for Ipswich, they didn't put that into practice very often...

Not necessarily the club, but considering the ball boy's connections he was probably considered the ball boy's 'leader'.

In the light of his pre match twitter then he obviously planned his own action and probably influenced the others. Can't blame the club but he personally needs his @rse kicking never mind a boot in the ribs.

From a Swans forum;

I think the people criticising the young ball boy should lay off him. He is Welsh and therefore his natural instinct when seeing a ball on the floor is to dive on it and hope for a try

Oh come on John, are ball boys wasting a bit of time here and there a new thing then when the home team is winning ?

That clip is the perfect reason why ball boys (in this case a girl) should act quickly. They can ruin the momentum of a movement by behaving in a prattish manner. No wonder players get their rag up when they see deliberate attempts to f*ck up a game of football.

Eden Hazard

Postby Chrissieboy on Thu Jan 24, 2013 6:12 pm

So many people in Tokyo in the pub today and on tut interweb giving it the big one about Chelsea being dirty bastards. I hate Chelsea but that ball-17-year-old-cheating-****er-boy deserved to be kicked for a conversion whilst lying on the ball. The stories of him going and shaking hands with everybody in the Chelsea dressing room disgust me more in every possible way. Chelsea should be embarrassed about not getting back into the game and Swansea should be celebrating. Instead this 17 year old twat is stealing the limelight and making football look pathetic.

I know what you mean mate. I don't know why but it just makes me cringe.

Edit. Thinking about it I do know why it makes me cringe. It's because its a cameo of how we have allowed kids to rule in this country. You can do sod all to them these days and no wonder we're surrounded by the lippy darlings. The Chelsea players were scared shitless that this could blow up out all proportion once the do- gooders and the politically correct take their narrow view and start banging on about child abuse. We've lost perspective in this country and all the bleeding hearts will milk this one..... and have done.
