£20 Away Ticket Price Cap

I'm all for this. I used to be an away season ticket holder, and I loved going away every week but with the constant increase of train/fuel prices it becomes hard to justify the amount that it costs. Anything to reduce this is a good thing.

Considering you also get the worst seats in the ground, this idea is totally fair

While the home fans pay double for similar seats :?

Can't see if working, be nice though £20 for spurs and chelsea instead of £50+

I think if you're going to charge £45 for an away game, it should at least include coach travel for free or at a small price of about a fiver. Charging all that money is one thing, but then getting there is another. If you're paying £45 for the ticket and travel it's good. Obviously some will go sod the coach, i'm driving or getting the train, but thats up to them.

All they'll do is put up home tickets.

That's a 50% + reduction at most London PL clubs! Yeah, that's likely to happen..

Would it not work both ways though Pop? We go to Chelsea with our ticket being a score and home fans spending £50 but then when they come to us they'll be paying £20 and our home fans will be paying £50.

Great idea!

It's certainly pricing me out of football...

£60 for Fulham (Train, Food, 1 Beer, Ticket)
£110 for Norwich (Train, Food, 1 Beer, Ticket)

Not exactly possible to continue doing aways being a student on under £500 per month with a car to run.

issue i can think of is this

west ham at home against a poorly supported team. home fans minimum ticket price is say £30 and sold out, away fans tickets go on general sale and are priced £20, whats stopping a load of hammers buying a ticket in the away end

can they not push it out and say all lowest band prices have to be at most £20, then it makes sense.

I don't agree....

I think the issue is that all tickets are too expensive. As someone else has said clubs will just put up the price of home tickets or find some other way to recoup their losses!

If you strapped a Ginsters to the space shuttle and sent it up it couldn't be more pie in the sky.

Will never happen, too many clubs with too much to lose.

The laws of supply and demand make this impossible.

A Nice Idea, but never going to happen..

I also believe that we are a bit naughty as well. Im sure the last game of the season is £47 quid for away fans. I think Sunderland were moaning about this a couple of seasons ago.

Im more in favour of charging each other the same. - Wigan charge us £20 we charge them. £20. Man U £45 we charge them £45. Spuds £55 we charge them £100 :D

No ticket, home or away should cost more than £25

They was big time, but our supporters paid the same prices.

Reading at home will £49 + booking fee for non-members !!! I sure Reading fans will be happy too, that said they charged us £40.
