Sully's on the phone to Pellers this morning..

"How close is he to being fit ? I have just heard that Arnie wants out the door.....so that's 30+M for Arnie and we can plod along, literally, with the cart horse...."

(lubbly jubbly....)

this may or may not have taken place.....

The squad, yes. The starting XI, no.

We've resorted to an awful brand of football whenever he's been the lynchpin - As soon as he's fit for more than 4 games, you've been able to hear a collective audible groan at his name being read out from the athletics bowl

I doubt any manager would change that. Defenders lumping it up towards Wor Andy for 70 minutes because they can.

Not on twatter but my son just told me Farage twatted that May's brexit deal is the worst deal in history.

Only to get a reply saying "what about Andy Carroll to Liverpool for 35m?"

He'll be like a new signing to soften the blow when Arnautovic leaves. The gift that just keeps on signing.

He should have been shipped out 2 years ago if the owners had had the foresight then to see that things were never going change with his everlasting injuries. Yes, too much to ask I know. The eternal problem is that he has hardly ever been properly match fit. When he has returned from one of his mystery injuries, because of his lack of real fitness he quickly picks up another one. His playing style contributes to that greatly also. I just long for the day he is shown the door for good.

What if, what if...his ligaments just miraculously held together this time? Know this thread's umpteen pages now but Andy Carroll is a very good footballer, and I've never bought into the 'lifestyle' explanation for his injuries. I think that became something of a witch-hunt yonks ago because we were disappointed.

We should have a little competition...... how long til he's out again.

I can't see him getting til the end of the year before another 3 month spell looms.

What has been his longest spell in the team, before injury?

Has he ever managed half a season?

It was well known it was taking place, but behind closed doors as they say! Wonder what odds Betway will offer how many games before he is back injured again?

Great to see that Holland is back. Interesting to see that Coventry got a game as well - would add some much needed depth to our midfield if Pell thinks that he is ready to step up....
