He has chosen not to.
Probably because a replacement would demand a decent wage.
How and when, please.

Every single transfer window. In my opinion.

Being English, not having an astronomical wage, and a regular goal scorer when fit, would make him a decent opinion for teams 10th-20th who would choose to play to his strength.

We bought him for £17.5M. Approximately.
Wouldn't have £10-20M as an outlandish sum, so many years on. Paying a part of his wage would also make his fee manageable

6 months to go on his contract when he gets back..won't get much playing time here to prove he's fit and raring to go...

I think as bubbs say, an amicable parting of the way - don't forget he is eligible to a "loyalty bonus" I would imagine which he won't get if his contract expires...

he could afford to take a wage cut and probably end up about the same. Don't forget he would negotiate his own deal, so I also think January will see him off.

Thank f**k.

Surely it would of been a great excuse for the club to pull the plug.

Good chance the club have covered up on other 'injuries' on his and the club's behalf and therefore cannot afford the risk of this becoming public, hence the reason as to why they are just playing a waiting game and will wait for his contract to run out.

Why?

Couldn't the club sue him?

If Carroll is a raging coke head, as has been suggested on here, then I'm pretty sure his contract would have been terminated and him got off of the wage bill - so please give up on this nonsense as it's bordering on libellous.

Any more posts on this particular matter will be deleted.

You can have my place, I'll find somewhere else. Greater love hath no man n' all that.

Do you suppose a rousing chorus of "Andy Carroll, we want you to go" might be as effective as our contrary plea appeared to be last time?

i don't know anything about Carroll and such matters, but a number of people believe that there is a problem in the game and the authorities, clubs and media have an alliance/ pact of sorts to cover up such incidents to avoid bad PR/ loss of sponsorship etc etc

I don't believe it as such (bit conspiracy theory for me), but I do know individual incidents have been 'covered up' in the past for fairly well known ex-professionals

There are very, very few clubs who will do what Chelsea did with Mutu.

I'm going to ask politely one more time for the direction this has been going on to stop.

IF somebody has hard and irrefutable evidence they wish to share with us, then feel free to do so - but if not - then it needs to stop immediately.

Anecdotes are not irrefutable evidence either.

Last warning.

Thank you.

If this latest lay off is due to his ankle not being recovered from the last injury then shouldn't this have been spotted earlier? I'm no expert but you'd have thought medical professionals would have monitored his ankle and been able to diagnose this before he played a pre-season game.

I used to, and will continue to defend him when the same old tired cliches about his football ability are dragged out. Carthorse, donkey etc. His ability isn't really in too much question so far as I'm concerned - it's just a shame all round he's not on the pitch more to put his ability in to practice.

Injuries on the other hand, it was around 3 years ago my patience wore thin.

As somebody else has said though - isn't it odd Carroll has a 500 page plus thread about him, yet Reid, whose injury record is just as bad, doesn't have a thread about him that's within the first few pages of GD.

One's unlucky with injuries, yet seemingly the other is a raging coke head.

I just find that very odd how one gets an easy ride, whilst the other gets slaughtered.

As for not frequenting GD much - just because I don't really say anything doesn't mean I'm not here.
