Great performance from Nobes today. Good captaincy when Adrian was spazzing out too.

To be fair to Adrian I thought he was just trying to wind up Balotelli which is what I'd have asked my players to do

This is what I've been waiting for and to be honest, expecting from Nobes. Proper performance, real captain's performance that was and to top it off I don't remember him dilly-dallying with the ball a yard outside our box.

Top man, the obvious successor to Nolan and I'd say he's being fast-tracked by Sam as I think he knows it too. Don't expect KN to walk his way back into THIS team now.

Didn't put a foot wrong and in a midfield and against a midfield containing seasoned internationals and champions league winners outshone them all.

Agreed he showed good captaincy again and he adds value to the team but I just wish he'd leave all the dead ball kicks alone and let a better striker of the ball take them.

Noble is only going to improve with better players around him. Do not be surprised to see him finally make the England squad if we keep playing the way we have.

agree. amazing the difference having Koyoute instead of Diame and Song instead of Taylor - suddenly Noble is free to move around and be a ball-player.

Playing at the base of our diamond and playing excellently. Isn't Roy trying the diamond? Trying to shoe-horn Wilshere into the defensive role when there's Noble doing it for us right now.

Very good yesterday. For me, that is definitely his position. His passing was spot on and he looked ahead of the game in terms of breaking the Bindipper's play up.Looked like he had that yard in his head to compensate for his lack of pace. Sounds a bit like another West Ham captain we once had?

Noble was on Soccer AM video package yesterday for the 'teammates' section: " onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Another good one: " onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Thought he was absolutely top top drawer yesterday.

He has now got a legend status as far as I am concerned. He was absolutely superb yesterday. I can hardly remember him losing the ball. I always thought he was one of those players that plays well with good players around him. For example when he played with Tevez & Yossi. And thankfully he is playing with some great players right now (Kouyate, Song, Downing).

I always said having the captaincy would be the making of him. And I really think it has. I just hope Big Sam is honest with himself and allows Noble to keep the captaincy when Nolan is fit again. Nolan still has a lot to offer from the bench. But he should be no where near the starting line up. Make Nolan Club captain & Noble team captain. It's not rocket science.

Keep up the good work Markey boy :thup:
