I'm not sure it is that black and white. We have many people moaning about many things these days and quite a few of them overlap. For example, i am now moaning about the moaners...
:?

As far as Noble is concerned, he has to be at his absolute best and additionally get the best out of those around him before he can keep everyone happy (or at least quiet for a week).

If he is not putting in 8/10 or 9/10 performances he will always come in for criticism. Think they call it the West Ham Way.

If the manager picks him or doesnt then that is good enough for me. I personally believe that noble 'on form' ( which clearly he wasnt early last season) has the ability to be in the team. But at this stage we have no idea if 'any' player will fit the style or game plan of the new manager or other choices the manager may have for a certain position. Also you need to take form and fitness into account.

There is no doubt I (and I think most) would hope that Noble warrants his place on fitness, form and ability however, for me not at the expense of someone the manager deems a better choice for that particular match or matches.

Are we? I'm not sure that's a great argument.

I was questioning the argument, not Noble himself - as I went on to explain in the same post

The amount of running Mark Noble gets through in a match is phenomenal , he has the best range of passing in the whole squad and volleys the ball well .

With Lanzini out for the whole of next season I'd stick Mark in front of the two DMs and let him dictate the game from there Pirlo-style . He's still good enough .

Agreed. Be good to see Nobes play with some more freedom and not have to do all the work of the entire midfield and even defence. His passing and composure under pressure he’s top notch.

Saw yesterday that goal of the World Cup was won by Pavard.

Similar to our beloved captains goal against Leicester.

For my money Nobles was slightly better.

I'm really looking forward to seeing him work in tandem with Wilshere this season, just as long as Wilshere manages to stay out of the treatment room. I also like the fact ones predominantly right footed and the other left footed so there's a real balance in the middle able to go both ways in an instant.

Devastated about what? The fact he managed to make our loyal, long suffering captain snap?

I understand the protest. I understand Nobes' reaction.

We've all snapped at some point. The way people have turned on Mark so easily leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

I was talking about the guy in the photo above. That wasn’t the one who came into contact with Noble. But now you mentioned it...that guy ran on with a piece of paper saying board out and Noble ran towards him. Noble has lost a lot of support after what he did that day.

The Burnley fiasco had to happen - might be a tad controversial, but those that came on the pitch all served the greater good - we are dissatisfied/disgusted with the board - hold your heads up high lads.. back to MN..l see Declan Rice as the new Mark Noble (defensive midfielder) ergo Mark Noble IS a West Ham Legend who has defo not scored his last goal for us yet
