I'm with COYI. He is our most reliable player day in and day out. He works hard and always puts in a decent shift. You never hear anything negative about him off the pitch (ie Tomkins, Carroll) and gets the job done. He may not score many open play goals but thats not his job. He should be our captain and should be considered for England.

Shame he didn't play against city, we could have used a player like him in our midfield.

He is a massive West Ham fan. When people say he is one of us, he really honestly and truly is.

He is a legend and a quality player too. He has been so badly managed over his career and if he went to a better side I think he would show what a great player he is.

He looked his best playing alongside Tevez and Zamora. He's an intelligent player.

On the testimonial thing, nothing has been discussed or planned - although he would like one.

I am not one for bombarding the club, but I for one think I'll contact them regarding this.

Agreed. It's got the usual cliches in it but somehow you believe it when Noble says it. I have no doubt about his commitment, I just hope it rubs off on the others.

unfortunately, he is just a mid-level Premiership midfielder and nothing more IMHO. a tad one-dimensional. Can be great on his day, but can also be very very average. He just does not have the consistency to play at the top level, or for England.

Having said that, if he went to a bigger club and had access to better coaching and the chance to play with better players on a regular basis then he could well improve. Just like Jordan Henderson has improved in the last 18 months at Liverpool
Agreed. Always had similar thoughts.

A group of us focused on Noble's every touch in quite a few games and all concluded that he was a hinderance to the team. Yes he is one of the top players for passing stats etc but as someone else stated... most of them are short passes that usually puts another player in trouble. He is too slow and pathetic at dead ball kicks other than penalties. I'd get rid of Noble and Nolan as both are not up to the standard of the Premiership.

West Ham through and through means absolutely nothing. It certainly doesn't make him a legend.
People complain about Allardyce's style and the long balls. Here we have a player who can pass the ball, mostly short and would fit fine into teams that do pass the ball and he's criticized for playing it short. We need more like him not the hoof it up the field brigade.

Was there for his first team debut on Tuesday 24th Aug 2004 at home to Southend in the cup on the day before my birthday. Won 2-0 and he came on as sub towards the end.

Think he has formed a fantastic partnership with Diame (when they are actually played together) and has matured into a solid steady player. Genuinely hope we are able to keep him for the duration of his career and would love to see him rewarded with a friendly at the start of next season.

Personally I don't rate him. Sure he puts the work in, but when I think of Mark Noble's game I think of over hit passes, terrible corners and really bad tackling in areas that quite often cost us.

There are maybe 3 or 4 other teams in the Premier Leauge who would have him in their side... Much like the rest of our squad at the moment.
I would like to hold my hand up and say that I was wrong. He was magnificent today, the heartbeat of the team.
