Jackanory.
I think the Dave Grohl thing is indeed urban myth. I once interviewed FF drummer Taylor Hawkins and he said he didn't even know Grohl was a football (soccer) fan never, mind a West Ham fan.
Keith Flint however most certainly is. I spoke to him at some length about his support but unfortunately couldn't make head nor tail of what he was saying. From memory, I think he was saying his mum talked him out of investing in the club. All very strange.

I always thought Private Pike's scarf happened to be West Ham colours by coincidence? I know Blake Harrison is Millwall so he'll hate having to wear that for the remake.

Older fans may recall Jim Wicks, Henry Cooper's old corner man. He was a massive West Ham fan. I know, because I once knew his grand daughter, who was a smashing bit of stuff, with a lovely, bubbly personality and a fabulous, but naughty sense of humour. She was a customer of mine and a big West Ham fan and when I used to chat to her and discovered she supported us too, she said, "Well I'm a Wicks, who else support ? "

Mark Wright had a spell as pro at my local club Rushden & Diamonds before they went bust and before his fame. He was awful. Still played the odd game last season at St Neots Town in the UCL League i believe.

Craig Ferguson is hard act to follow, but the Yanks like a quirky Brit. He was a bit too eager to please, he needs to get a bit nastier! :-)

saw a mention of the button moon and had a flashback to being a kid and having some vague memory of an episode with bubbles in it (my mum would put that video on whenever we were playing up), decided to look up the episode to see if there were any other west ham nods from the bloke who made in it and found it on youtube : " onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

then i remembered what mr spoon wears:

Probably the best cockney accent in Cinematic History. From American to Irish via a slight Pakistani twang, but unfortunately missing out East London all together.
