So a club moving from one borough to neighbouring one makes it a fake?WestHamIFC wrote:
Not sure how on earth you come to that conclusion?!
Canning Town, Upton Park and Stratford are/were all in the borough of West Ham!: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/County_Bo ... f_West_Ham
Nothing fake about that whatsoever.
By comparison Clapton Orient not only invaded another borough but moved in directly on the territory of the existing Leyton FC, who subsequently suffered long-term decline due in no small part to this invasion.
Fast-forward 8 decades and the Orient hypocrites are up in arms because West Ham dare to move within their own borough because it's slightly closer to the area they themselves invaded and shouldn't be at in the 1st place!!
They need to check their own flawed history before throwing stones from within their own glass-house. Pot, Kettle, Black and all that...
Thames Ironworks played in neighbouring borough East Ham for a while, so must have been fakes I guess!!
By the way Leyton FC carried on until 1995 so Orient moving in in 1937 doesn't seem to have had an immediate effect

Hence my clear use of the phrase "long-term". I guess you somehow missed that...Kendal Iron wrote:By the way Leyton FC carried on until 1995 so Orient moving in in 1937 doesn't seem to have had an immediate effect

Re: West Ham branded celebrities
Can people actually say who the "celeb" is in some of these pics. Who are those two blokes holding up West Ham shirts, one with the sock and flip flop combo? I've no idea.
