Indeed. Those two "moments" live long in the memory of Mark Noble's football fans. It's good to have a scapegoat.

I was very impressed with Masuaku in his limited time so far.

He's crap, sell him!

Pleased for him, the strange thing being that he's getting these call ups during the worst form of his Hammers career. In 2015/16 Cresswell was the best left back in the country, hands down, didn't get a look in.

Slotted into a back 3 superbly against two of the leagues best teams.

A temporary fix there or something more permanent?

Had Arthur in front of him to make the attacks from the flanks all Aaron had to do was defend and did it very well.

Made a very good case for MotM. Been outstanding the last 2 matches. Really getting vocal as well which has been good to see

Thought Cresswell had a great game defensively. For my mind, it was Cresswell in the first half and Reid for the second half - as the players that made the most impact.

Also thought it was a bit of a genius move having Ogbonna in the middle of the back 3. Stopped Ogbonna from being dragged around like he tends to usually.

Been much better as left of three rather than left back

Moyes said "Long may it continue" when asked about Cress's new position after.

All of this is spot on. One thing we didn't have before is cover. Now we have it in abundance. Cresswell definitely better with the game infront of him. Thought he was excellent today.

His best performance for us in god knows how long. If I were Moyes telling Cresswell he's not playing well enough would have been one of the first thing I'd have done. It's sort of gone under the radar just how bad he has been the past year or so

Long may yesterday's quality of performance continue

Although not a true centre half, he gave us much needed legs and excellent cover. Finally started flying around tackling too which has been missing from his game and even won some headers.

It's the headers I enjoyed the most, he's tiny compared to the other CBs and usually the opposition strikers. He's been channeling his inner Steve Potts and long may it continue

cresswell played well again and defended properly. he has masuaka in front of him which helps. masuaka cant play in defence but is useful cover if needed. going forward he is great.
cresswell and masuaka have our left side covered nicely.

That means teams will target the other side and zabaleta. He did well yesterday though

A temporary fix which has turned out to be a genius move that should be continued

3 at the back seems to be deployed better when one of them is a full back...it's part of Chelseas successful formula from last year

Having Cresswell there has given Masuaku more scope to play with freedom which has given us a pace outlet in the team too which is also part of the shift in how we've played

Still a ****ing powderpuff in the tackle and his body strength is shocking - the only time he had to do anything meaningful in a one on one he got done by Willian - hardly a beefy type ... and had to foul him. I wouldn't get too carried away by his latest performances, there are still enough negatives there to be concerned, but he gets far more cover from those around him now too.

He made 1 surprisingly excellent timed bone crunching one in the first half that I loved. More of that please, Cresswell!
