Can't say I've ever "scapegoated" any of the other players mentioned on the previous page.

Just a question of not rating this lad. And he's not trying, or injured.

Either way, the criticism of his performances as being diabolical are warranted, they have been exactly that. Isn't this the forum for it, rather than at the game?

He needs dropping into the reserves and if he wants to leave ( there were articles about him being unhappy and criticising Bilic playing him out of position), then let him go, but only if we get a replacement.

I think that now that it seems like everyone in the country now sees him as s**t kind of backs up what people have been saying in this thread, you'd have to be blind to not see that he is a liability. Never before have I seen a midfielder, in claret and blue, regularly look so lost.

He's definitely not my scapegoat. He is / was one of my favorite players, that's why it's so sad to watch him struggle.
I really wish he steps up again, he can be a leader on and off the field.

Something is up.

I'd say he can be more of a cheerleader than a leader, I think he could be a positive influence when everything is going well but he's not got leadership qualities. Young Josh Cullen was asking for the ball to his feet and making himself available all game on Sunday, Kouyate was shying away from it all.

Lets see if Moyes drops him to bench and then out of team when ijured players return.

If he doesnt i feel that whatever the issue is its not Chiek's fault

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Scapegoat (noun)

- a person who is blamed for the wrongdoings, mistakes, or faults of others, especially for reasons of expediency.

And in terms of what particular players he has an eye on, Moyes revealed that he was seeking players comfortable with the ball at their feet. "At the moment I would like to add a couple of players who will help us keep the ball better and pass better," he added.

"If we got that it would help me feed the centre forwards we’ve got - and we’ve got quite a lot of centre forwards at the club. We want to be able to give them the right type of service and I want people who can recognise what they need.

"We could need people in the centre of midfield or off the side who might do it from another area, or people in different positions, but I want to add a couple of people who could give us a little bit more on the ball."

Fella's time here is about up.

Exactly how I saw that Miles.

He wants exactly what we need - ball players who can trap a ball, pass it, move and show for a pass.

Kouyate is practically the opposite of that.

Quite frankly, for a number of his performances this season, he is not fit to wear the shirt any more.

Get him out, get him off the wage bill, any money we receive is a bonus.

Moyes specifically mentioned that we can't go on protecting player after player. Kouyate is usually the one sent to do the protection.

My guess is that several players time is up. Can't pass or can't run? Bye.

We are playing a back 8 to accommodate a few who simply don't function in a more open team.

Haha. He does take some stick but I think him and Obiang do a lot of hard graft. Having noble back in the side makes us a lot better balanced.

Still not convinced he should play in midfield, instead of defence. He simply isn't comfortable with the ball to deserve a place further up field.

One half reasonable game and he has wiped out all the lazy unprofessional dross of this season?

I think not.

He must be making real progress under Moyes if he actually managed to go a whole game without letting players drift past him without bothering to chase after them.

If we are actually progress anywhere this season he needs to be the 1st player replaced in the transfer window. One swallow a summer does not make.
