Reece Oxford

Postby DODGYDAL on Thu Oct 02, 2014 8:44 am

According to a number of Papers yesterday Arsenal scouted Reece Oxford again during our 2-0 win against Sunderland, Reece was also at Arsenal's Champions League last night so looks like we may be losing him.

Bad journalism on here yesterday from a so called staff writer. The three clubs mentioned in his piece were after Reece Oxford, not Reece Burke.

Isn't Reece Oxford the one that Tony Carr cut his holiday short to persuade to stay?

IIRC we recently offered both Reece Oxford and Reece Burke contracts. Reece Burke sign his, but Reece Oxford hasn't.

As a centre back who is returning on Sunday would say "Merked"

Who's the one who's dubbed 'the next Bale' and looked like he was going to sign for Man U?

And who's the one who signed for Arsenal?

Is Reece Burke neither of these? If so, who is Reece Burke?

He is Reece Burke. Just signed his first pro deal at West Ham. Impressed (and scored) on his first team debut. Big, strong CB

I think that's it at least.... :P

EDIT-did he score, or did he set one up? It was surely the Sheff Utd league cup game. Had it in my mind he scored, but not so sure now....

Any player dubbed "the new" or "the next" will invariably end up being a nobody (unless he's the next Quashie/Boa Morte/Vaz Te)

Borg is the next Bale, Ben Sheth is the youngster Arsenal Signed. Reece Burke is the cb who started against Sheff Utd and has just signed a 3 year deal (turning down Chelsea and Reece Oxford is the 15 year old rated as the next Rio who is wanted by Arsenal

Nice one. It does get confusing. And I thought I'd finally got it straight in my head....

Yea, of course it was the Sampdoria game he scored, and he made his first competitive 1st team start against the Blunts.

Ben Sheaf seems to have passed me by, but that's where some of the other confusion has come from, as I was sure Oxford hadn't signed, one way or the other, but others seemed certain the Arse had signed one of our young 'uns, so I assumed they'd got Oxford without me reading about it

So all in all, we have the new Bale an dRio on our books.

Not bad.

Can we also please have the "new" Cristiano. That would be grand. :D
