4-0 in the snow. We were so crap that season that i wasnt expecting anything at all. To be completety and delightfully taken by suprise by our performance was just bloody marvellous. The fact that ex United boy Johnny Specs got two goals made it even sweeter.
The atmosphere in the pub after was electric. Everybody was singing and jumping around. Brilliant memories

Those Fergue quotes are just him sticking up for his mate Sam.
His quotes about Moyes are laughable as well as it was him who pushed for Moyes to be appointed.
Tevez

I went with Spector, surely the highlight of his club career .
Re: Favourite victory over Taggart? [POLL]
not a victory, but the draw to deny them the title was the sweetest, because ferguson was so vexed and bitter

Interestingly, the 2-1 victory in December 2007 was probably one of the more impressive achievements.
Winning from behind against the eventual Champion's League winners boasting Ronaldo, Tevez, Vidic, Ferdinand, Giggs, Evra in their prime.

That was quality and stuck in my mind - I am sure Ronaldo missed a pen in that game as well, Upson scored as well - I think (edit, it's on the poll, what a numpty!)! Also, Curbs first game, and stopping them winning the league are very memorable.wizzo_66 wrote:Interestingly, the 2-1 victory in December 2007 was probably one of the more impressive achievements.

The 4-0 was just unreal. A horrible season but a brilliant game. Spector the midfield superstar. Carlton getting two. Expected nothing from the night but it was close to perfect.

This. It wasn't a win but it felt like it.btajim - mcfc wrote:The one where you stopped them winning the league will always be a happy memory.
I remember as a kid everyone just going bananas.
Can we have it added to the please?
Re: Favourite victory over Taggart? [POLL]
As the "Old Man of Storr" has said any win over ManU is particularly sweet, and so looking for the "West Ham Way" Fergie has to look no further than the Semi Final,Hillsbrough 1964 when the cultured Hammers beat the Reds (Charlton, Best et al) in the mud 3-1.
Other than that I was Overwhelmingly "Overchuffed" with the 4-0 "Mow in the Snow" !!

What would have happened if we had got relegated instead of staying up after Tevez goal?
The 4-0 was brilliant as when I saw the teamsheet I thought about staying in the working mans club as our team selected was fairly rubbish.
Did Obima play and have four assists? Might have been another game.

The one with Barthez hailing a cab was brilliant, as was Tevez.. but I think it's got to be the 4-0 in the Carling Cup. Just cos it was so ****ing hilarious. Completely unexpected, completely brilliant, one of those great nights of football.

The Cup wins are nice. But stopping Man U winning the title is better. Even more the sweeter for STILL grating Fergie. All these years latter.

Tevez for me the whole drama of the day , got called into work Sun am due to roof collapse and flood was with Fire brigade till 2 .30 pumpkin mg out making safe etc, dashed to my social club just in time for kick off , expecting relegation if I'm honest , the twists and turns , split screen with flashes back to Sheffield Utd v Wigan , we score , the penalty miss , hoarse screaming at screen , counting down the minutes , the relief at final whistle .....,,.. Then the call to my line mgr getting Monday off and getting absolutely **** faced.

Re: Favourite victory over Taggart? [POLL]
I remember thinking when I saw the team for the 4-0 game in the snow, that it was possibly the worst team I'd ever seen picked, with Kovac & Spector in midfield. I thought we'd get murdered. What a great night it turned out to be, never have I been so surprised by a result

Was that one available to vote for? From memory it would've been about 1994 or 1995. I went for the 4-0 though. Most goals against them.DoubleDave wrote: This one, but to be honest, any victory over them and their plastic fans is as sweet as the finest nectar.
