I don't remember us creating many chances second half of the season. Our results were down to our formation and the way we played as a team, not the strikers missing chances.

Talks are ongoing with Inter apparently .

Close to signing lanzini according to reports in Argentina

Just seen a tweet that we are close to signing Ogbonna for €10m + €2m in bonuses, seems quite specific but could be bull****..

Bit of both I think

Created a lot more chances per game before Xmas as much to do with having three fit strikers with movement etc as the actual formation is my view

There's clearly a split view on Zarate - but the thought of him and Maiga as front two fills me with dread

With Carroll and Sakho's injuries last season that is not as unlikely as you'd hope it would be

If we spend £10m+ on a CB and skimp on another big signing up front then we're certified bonkers

Balotelli, Borini, Lambert.

Three players Liverpool are offering around. Who, if any, should we take? And at what ££?

None, at zero pounds. Fat. Trouble. Useless.

You mean - trouble, useless, fat - L to R.

IMO getting Remy or Austin or someone very similar that's not been mentioned yet, is very important.

I'd also be very surprised if we don't bring in at least one player close to Bilic.

If we sign all our targets and Bilic favours a 4-2-3-1 system then we could end up with.

I'd take two of them for zero fees and realistic wages .

Balotelli I reckon would be a cult hero in no time at our place , and might score a hatful - maybe we need a bit of his rascal stuff .

Lambert , he's old, but he would give you 30 minutes a game for 2 seasons .

I wouldn't touch Balotelli with a barge-pole. I don't think Borini improves us. I would take Lambert on a free and sensible wages as an alternative "big man up front", though there is more to his game than that, provided we were getting in a Remy or the like to challenge Sakho. Remy (or alternative) / Sakho / Valencia / Carroll / Lambert all fighting over 1 or 2 places would be the best front line we've had for years, without having to spend silly money to get there.

Balotelli is one of those players you could imagine scoring 0 or 35 for a club like ours

He's the sort of player a new manager would need big balls to take in I reckon

Sakho will get found out soon enough unfortunately,

Been doing well at not being found out in his career so far, if it was that easy why has no one in France or England spotted it so far?

Pure guesswork by whu Jon. Banking that sakho will be like many others before him and be a one season wonder.

Fact is no one on this site will know for sure....but he ain't off to a bad start in his second season is he?

I've been told by a die hard Chelsea fan that Remy can only train once a week, due to his knees.

Do we really want another crock? I'm worried enough that we're supposedly signing Song with an underlying knee problem.

Austin every day of the week for me.

A £50m reserve team, and a £50m first team .

I'd love to see Sullivans face when Slaven goes in with that .

Would love to see Austin here. English, relatively young and hungry for goals. Would compliment our squad well. However, if Pinky's right, it'll never happen. We will end up with that young fella on trial from Wimbledon.
