This was taken the night after we played Stoke away last May. I went back to the hotel and sat in the seats watching the groundsmen put the nets up as I drank a bottle of Moet and smoked something.

We gave up too much. I hope those who wanted to move are happy now...

finger pointing only leads to division,
While you may be right we should celebrate what we had

It's just that the magics gone, the buzz of match day, that tingling feeling as you enter the ground and the hairs standing up on your neck hearing Bubbles :(

We will all miss.the old girl and the memories of her will be with us all for the rest of our lives, sadly there will never ever be another boleyn,i like the majority of us would have loved the old girl to be kept and expanded but its not to be.im trying hard to move on with the new ground because I am and always will be claret and blue through good and bad times.my first game there was circa 1950 as a very young lad with me old mum and dad not to walk up green street to the game anymore is like part of my life routine is gone and is the same for many of us. To hear chelsea fans say we have lost our soul is utter rubbish they will never understand what it means to be proper West Ham we all need to step up now and prove them wrong and by doing this we can keep the heart of the old boleyn beating :crest:

It's not just Chelsea though. I've spoken to quite a few away fans on the way back through Carpenters Road and they all hate the place as much as me. All of of them said they will miss the yearly trip to the Boleyn (one of the last decent away days left in English football) and won't be bothering with West Ham away again.

The Claymore end must be the old South Bank with the West Stand to the right ?
