It's the modern football. Just the way it has to be.

Although if the team moved to proper football ground it would not hurt as much, I reckon.

Indeed. Watching MOTD last night reminded me how much I miss the Boleyn. Looking at those ridiculous gaps behind the goals at the Olympic Stadium are a painful reminder of what we have lost.

I just miss the whole Upton Park experience too much. I've even dreamt about the place several times.

Enjoy reading your thoughts on the Boleyn. Especially this part.

I was there last night, again... walking up the stairs, taking my seat.
Actually, physically standing there in the stand with my old man (for all I knew). Then I woke up.

It's good to know I'm not the only one

I have had several dreams where I'm on the pitch (one of my biggest regrets is that this was never a reality)

Looking at those pictures of three quarters of the ground gone are just unbelievable to me. It just doesn't seem real that the Boleyn is no more. I'm still tempted to go back there whilst part of the west stand remains.

That pretty much sums up my feelings too.
If the new stadium was a football stadium things would be so different.

That's exactly my problem. Having been living abroad up until last December I never got the chance to go again from my last visit 7 years ago. Went down twice in the last 2 weeks as I had to go to Gatwick, just seems wrong but the having made my one and only visit to the new place it's the fact that the bowl isn't suited for football. I could get used to everything else but not an athletics stadium.
