Thought he did a lot of things very well last night but Giroud made a mockery of him aerially - not sure he won a single challenge against him.

I have been really frustrated with Oggy this season up until the last two games but hold my hands up, he has been brilliant. Particularly last night.

I wonder if, on top of the improved fitness and organisation work Moyes has brought it, if moving to the centre of the back three has helped? Seems a lot more comfortable and useful there than on the left.

Hopefully he stays there with a Cresswell to his left and Ginge slotting in for the suspended Reid at the weekend.

All defenders have been great since the Man City game but surprisingly for me Cresswell has been the pick of the lot in a position not really familiar to him. Some of the challenges, headers! and positioning as well as supporting Masuaku when needed has been top notch. I'm keen to see him continue in that role for the foreseable.

He's been majestic for the last six weeks. Only Arnie has been better.

Yep, absolute quality & not a clanger in sight.

Even Reid...after a little slip up...played excellently tonight.

Credit David Moyes for the turnaround...Oggy has been excellent and is clearly enjoying his job again.

Our best player since Moyes took over, probably enough to be player of the year so far.

I think whats improved him is playing in the middle of a back three and having to be more disciplined playing in that position. Where as before playing left of a two or three he was inclined to roam a bit.
But fair play he is looking a player now.

Reckon that would have to be Arnie. But I do think that Oggy has improved so much under Moyes, currently No1 CB for me.

He's also got a bit of pace which is much needed in the centre.
How he caught and tackled Burke of WBA on Tuesday I still don't know.

I'd love to see a back three of Rice, Oggie and Collins. Winston is jaded and needs time off.

Never was happy with him but as already mentioned since Moyes arrived the guy just keeps on getting better and better.

Keep it up

That tackle was made all the better as he had to move around him whilst going full tilt, to get to the ball...incredible athleticism for a big player.
